Around SBN: Tiger Woods Makes His 2012 PGA Tour Debut

We finally got one

After seemingly getting our hand in on every non-committed QB recruit left in the country (Terrelle Pryor, MarQueis Gray, Chris Harper, Boo Jackson, Jacory Harris, etc.) we finally nailed down a commitment.  Welcome to the Ducks, Darron Thomas!

It'll be interesting to see how our recruitment goes from here, whether we back off of some of these other QBs or maybe put more pressure on the JuCo guys.  Plus, we could still push for a guy like Harper to play RB.  All in all, our recruiting class is really starting to build up, with or without the interest from Pryor

Oh and to make it ever sweeter...
Thomas is the guy who de-committed from LSU and immediately put us at the top of his list.

No Surprise
Wouild you rather play mostly ramked bowl-bound teams in pre-conference or St Mary's School for the Blind 3 or 4 times before conference?

Answer: Being a true competitor he chooses Oregon. We compete every week.

Geez
That's not even why he did it.  Let's give the whole SEC scheduling thing a break, esp. since LSU played the toughest non-conference team out of any top 10 BCS team.

It's pretty amazing how many QBs are interested
in Oregon.  We already have a darn good QB commit in Paige.  But 4.52 40?  That's pretty dang good (faster than Dennis).  And he throws a very nice ball, having really good touch.

Hopefully, we won't see a lot of drop off in QB play.  We have solid QBs for next season (I don't expect Kempt or Roper to play much the rest of their careers) in Costa and I've heard good things about Cooper (BYU transfer) as well.

With the added strength we'll be having at O-Line and D-line the next couple of years, hopefully we won't see the big drop offs we saw 2001.

Great news
That's fantastic -- two good looking QB recruits coming in.  They must have liked what the saw from Oregon and Dixon this year.

And, I am really looking forward to seeing what Costa can do next season.

Moseley's take
Apparently, he might be enrolled at Oregon in time for spring practices.  Moseley has some comments after speaking with Thomas and his coach earlier today.
