Why is the Pac-10 down this year? Read this!

Ted Miller has this to say...

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/pac10/0-3-135/Pac-10-needs-to-rethink-its-ambitious-scheduling.html?post=true

Pretty basic facts when you think about it.

I am against changing the scheduling though. I think that the caliber of teams we have now will get better as time goes on. I think recruiting will get stronger as teams show incoming athletes they aren't afraid to play against the tough schools.

There are a bunch of comments left by other ESPN readers at the end of the article. Pretty good conversation fodder.

No.

The Pac-10 is down because of the lack of experience or lack of continuity (injuries or controversies) at the quarterback position.

The scheduling just makes it look worse.

Teams with stable quarterback positions: USC, OSU, UA, Stanford (mostly)
Teams with unstable quarterback positions: UO, CAL, UCLA, UW, WSU

Pretty similar to the ‘power rankings’ of the conference.

Holy crap...

I agree with CV…except for Stanford having a stable QB.

QB isn’t really relevant when he spends the whole game on his back.

He's been looking for her forever

Finally he can stop whining about how sometimes he “feels like a motherless child, a long long way from home.”

The hands on a broken clock are right twice a day.

Too bad CV is a broken VCR. It takes more than just changing the batteries, or winding a gear.

What's the difference between a Porn Star and Ryan Gunderson?

The Porn Star never misses when he sees a wide-open beaver.
