our whole defense is predicated on being able to have
single coverage. Last year, our badass secondary was great at that. Where have you gone, Matthew Harper?

Nick Aliotti has the worst defensive scheme in college football
Only works when you have the best corners in the nation or when the opposing QB is terrible.

Leaving a safety to cover half the field, allowing a wide receiver to slip right by one half of the secondary? What’s going on here?

the season isnt only 3 weeks long. take the loss and move on and win out in the pac-10. then we finish with one loss in the league and hope USC loses another game in the league.

to Trojan authority. Whatever you do Mike, don’t play a quarterback that can throw the ball downfield. Stick with the run game…it’s bangin’ tonight.

No.
Three of our wins this year have come against three of the worst programs in the FBS. No more of those left… UCLA and Stanford represent our best chances for additional victories, but given the way we have looked against quality teams, and considering we still have Cal, ASU, and OS on the road… how do we get to 8 victories this year?

We're at four right now.
we’ll beat UCLA and Stanford. That’s six. We’ll be able to dominate ASU on the lines. That’s seven.
We have to win one out of three vs. Arizona, Oregon State, and Cal.

Regardless of past history...
We SHOULD beat Arizona. Oregon State is going to be tough but it’s definitely winnable. I’d probably chalk Cal up as a loss at this pont

I'm not quite as confident about ASU...
… but of the remaining road games, it is the most winnable.
Cal? Probably a loss.
UA? Outside of the Civil War, this is the one I would like to make sure we win.
OS? We wouldn’t be favored. But despite coming in to each of the last two Civil Wars struggling, each one has come down to a FG. So you never know.

still not givin up
i still think they have time to turn things around and win out in the pac-10. crazier things have happened in football (like losing every quarterback in eugene two years in a row). I dont know if any of the games will be guarantees, i guess like most have said stanford and probably ucla are close to guarantees. osu will be tough but i dont see the winning the civil war three years in a row.
im hopin for a solid rest of the year.
