I Can Haz Football?: Arizona 08 Edition
Another week, another round of I Can Haz Football? The Arizona Wildcats come to town and they are the undercat. They've got a big play quarterback that could cause some serious problems for our defense. Has our defense really improved over the last few weeks or has the weather been a factor in how teams are passing the ball? Did the Stanford comeback do anything for Masoli's confidence going into this game and how will that play out in his decision making? How will the crowd react to Jaison Williams's last home game as a Duck?
We've got the running ability and we can run on this team. If we execute and exorcise the demons that have plagued us against Arizona, we should come out on top. Masoli will be the key. If he can provide a spark and step up in the passing game, it should be a fun afternoon.
The other storyline of the day is that this is the last home game for our senior ducks. Let's send them off into the world in the best way we know how....with all the support and cheering we can muster.
We have a number of import statistics within reach for this game
- A win against Arizona gives us our first home sweep against Pac-10 competition since 2000
- Jaison Williams is 12 catches away from reaching Samie Parker's reception record
- Jarius Byrd is two interceptions away from reaching George Shaw's school record of 18 (he's only a junior)
- Nick Reed is 2 TFL (tackles for loss away) from Devan Long's record

Speaking of Williams
were there any details about why he lost his starting job last week? Seemed like a somewhat surprising development.
because he drops alot of passes… And the coaches wanted to make him realize it’s better to catch passes than to drop them.
no, just as long as you look super smooth doing it, then its fine…didnt you see TO on letterman last night?
Wear a well-fit Revo with a dark visor and nice looking gloves with absolutely no purpose.
I like my lineman with good footwork, good upper body strength, a nice wide base, compsure, and preferably not hungry.

I have a bunch of ideas, shoot an email my way. I don’t have MS paint or whatever you’re using, but I have some pretty good ones and I’d love to help out.
Again, these are funny as hell Dominic. Good on you sir.

will do! I’ve actually gotten quite a number of positive comments about them. If anyone has ideas, suggestions or would like to contribute photos (or taglines) to the cause, send me an email and we can discuss!
