I am traveling to Corvallis this weekend. Any inside tips on where to eat?

Golden, I’d advise making the 35-minute drive to Eugene :)

Need to stick up for the town I work in a little bit. A couple of places you have to try…
American Dream Pizza – either locations (downtown or by campus)
Local Boys – great hawaiian food
Cirello’s Pizza – been there forever
Young’s Kitchen – korean food
Old World Deli – deli food with homemade beer
Fox ’n Firkin – Irish/Scottish food, great pub
and, if that wasn’t the best part, they just got an Applebees. An APPLEBEES! Huzzah for Frozen Bailey Cappuccinos!

I don't know how such a legitimately sized town can be so podunk...
I like my lineman with good footwork, good upper body strength, a nice wide base, and preferably not hungry.
Go visit Spokane sometime...
Until I sell my house there, it’s still officially home, and very podunk.
...the quacker soon to be known as JConant, when Jared or I can figure out how the change my damn screen name.
Pot. Kettle. Black... or dark-matte-green, whatever color those helmets are.
I find myself equally bored in both towns.
One smells like a farm. The other smells like the country fair. Take your pick.
At least Eugene has a few vestiges of civilization.

Look closer, it's a mirage.
Seriously though, I’ve spent a lot of time in both towns and never found one town to be overwhelmingly better than the other, especially today. I mean, my own bias aside (I obviously prefer to spend my time in Corvallis on Saturdays, duh), I’ve found myself equally bored, entertained, etc. in each town.
I mean, I could answer your small town Corvallis jokes with “blah-blah-blah-meth lab!-blah-blah-blah-hippies” but I don’t know how constructive that’d be and my aim is not to troll.
When it comes down to it, I can’t really live anywhere other than NE Portland (born and raised) and pretty much prefer it over any spot in Oregon that even tries to have any sort of small-town/city feel.
hippies would be right...
meth labs…not so much…

NE P-Town, Represent!
Okay… I’m not actually in Portland… so… NE Metro, Represent!
It's spelled "S-h-u-t-U-p-A-n-d-D-a-n-c-e".
The worst is hearing Grant kids chant “N-E-P” at football games. Most of ‘em are from one of the richest areas on the eastside outside of sellwood and they rep NEP like they’re hard… hilarious. NE has changed a lot though. Still love it. Four generations deep here so I’m kind’ve stuck, but the best kind’ve stuck ever. I guess…
I always thought Tiggerd was Magic land
But the G-spot works too.
Haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn Shufelt?
The Oregon Country/Renaissance Fair is like the happiest place on earth...
F*ck you Shufelt you're gonna spend the night... OUT-SIDE!
Shut up I grew up with the Country Fair.
Haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn Shufelt?
Technically...
…I think you’re still in the process of growing up… scientifically speaking of course.
I kid. But seriously, the Country Fair just isn’t my thing I guess. I grew up in a completely different environment listening to vastly different music. I’ve tried broadening my horizons but find the hippie barefoot vegan culture just isn’t me.
How many of those giant parking pass stickers does your mom’s VW have in the window though? And be honest.
We're not that extreme
But we are vegetarians and my parents are Deadheads, if that works.
I could go on…
Haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn Shufelt?
I went to the Ren faire this year. I actually spent most of the summer building the stages. It was an interesting experience, especially the jousting

American Dream Pizza
Best pizza I’ve ever had. Best pizza anyone has ever had.
