Site: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR
The last home game of the season. It should be fun, and hopefully a great sendoff for our seniors. Also, should be good weather for both passing games, with weather in the 40s and low winds. This will be a true test of the Oregon secondary. With lack of mistakes and a passing game that's not totally incompetent, we should be in good shape, and I'm hoping for the best.

Not sure how it looks to the others, but I like it because I can easily switch to other ESPN and ABC games during the comercials

Pac-10 Scenario
Okay guys, at this point, 1st place in the conference is out of reach for us. Can we still somehow finish in 2nd? What do we need to see happen for us to have a chance at 2nd? Do we need to the Beavs to knock off Cal tonight, and then these Wildcats to beat the Beavs at home next Saturday? Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t this scenario set up the Civil War to decide 2nd in the conference?

Our defensive line needs to get better penetration and they have been on the field a lot already in this game. We can’t let them continue to run down the field

Halftime Thoughts: What a first half! 45-17 Ducks
Great performance by everyone on both sides of the ball. Arizona went away from what is working well (runs up the middle) but they had to. Oregon has been scoring on almost every possession. Masoli looks confident back there and he is making excellent decisions. I’m not going to compare him to Dixon but Arizona is making him look that way. Their defense looks completely out of sorts against the spread. Receivers are making excellent catches and blocking well down field.

Third Quarter Thoughts
Obviously we’ve let down a little bit after having a big lead. We aren’t completing our tackles and I’m not a fan of only rushing 3. Our defense has given up some long drives that probably shouldn’t be. We are doing a lot better than the score indicates. The defense has been on the field a lot. WRs are really making great plays

Game Thoughts
What a wild game. We had a wonderful first half but our offense sputtered in the second half. Arizona made some great adjustments and ate us alive with their TE’s. Overall, a breakout game for Masoli. He had an amazing game passing for 298 yards and running for 89. A great win for us against a tough Arizona team. I don’t envy the Beavers for playing this team next week

We could do no wrong in the 1st half.

A win is a win but let us not forget that if that RB had caught that swing pass on 4th down this might be a completely different outcome.

yeah. Arizona is a tough team. Offensively, we played better today then we have all season. Everything came together during the first half. We did have some issues adjusting to their size on their O-line but we recovered nicely. I hope that the TE issues get looked at but I’ve been hoping for that since Boise State

BTW, the jerseys look much better on pads. I like how the feathers are set a little towards the front instead of smack dab in the middle. Only bad thing about them is the duct tape silver.

Arizona is pretty good. We were clicking on all cylinders in the first half. If we had our typical football performance, I’m not sure it would have been close. If I was a Beaver fan, I would be VERY concerned about playing Arizona at their house. Most of their best offensive players weren’t in there the entire game due to injuries.
