I noticed last night that they do a bit of tricky camera work. When that guy pours a ton of soda, you’ll notice it getting all over the countertop. The next shot, it’s all clean on the table.

Masoli has had some good completions but also some rough decisions. The throws that were missed were either over their heads or too hard. Mixed bag but you can tell what they worked on in the week

Good First Quarter but...

We’ve capitalized on some good opportunities and made some big plays but I’m worried about doing the little things. We haven’t put together a long drive yet. Masoli is doing better with some of his pocket issues but they are still there for sure. Might be there the rest of the year

That is true...

though most of our TD drives were done from big plays…so not sure how much field position makes a difference there.

Stanford hasn’t shown a lot of offensive threat. They are very methodical…and it’s tough to score when you have bad field position in that case.

Similar to cubs fans...

I was at a game earlier this year…and this little kid was being the biggest bitch on the planet, booing and yelling at the players whenever anything bad happened….I wanted to punch him.

It’s sad that fans have to act like that, especially when the players are doing their best.

Halftime Thoughts

Masoli looks like he is doing a little better with some of the work this week but he still is getting antsy in the pocket too soon. Our running game isn’t bad but Blount isn’t making good reads and getting tackled. Our receivers, as a whole, are making some good plays even though we’ve had some drops. Defense is being inconsistent. I’m frustrated that we continue to make bad throwing teams look like good ones but we are doing a great job against the run

So far, the game is all about field position. The first team to take control of that aspect and they should win the game. We should see Roper in the second half. Masoli hasn’t made too many mistakes but he hasn’t had a great game. Stanford is not good against the pass and there are plays to be made
