Have Ducks lost a 5-star recruit?
This from Scout.com on Nov. 4th: "This morning Myles Wade of Portland Oregon, who is one of the Nations Top Ranked Junior College Transfers, made it known that his commitment to play for the Oregon Ducks next season is no longer in place. Wade is a 5-Star rated linemen and at 16 years of age was the top selection of the Oregon Ducks in the class of 2007 but had to complete a 2-year associate degree first."
See the complete article, which suggests the Beavs may have the inside track at one of the top JC D-line recruits.
Outside of what's mentioned in the article, does anyone have the inside scoop on what caused "irreconcilable differences" with the Oregon program?

He did one year of JC, at Oregon’s request. It’s my understanding that Wade was asked to stay another year and finish his JC degree prior to transferring so Oregon could get another year of eligibility. He doesn’t want to wait anymore.
It's spelled "S-h-u-w-e-n-t-t-o-o-f-a-r".
That's consistent with the article.
What I don’t understand is this: If not playing for a year was such a big issue, why didn’t he raise it at the time of the request. Maybe he did? Given his talent potential, it seems he could’ve said “I’m coming to Oregon with 2 years eligibility or I’m not coming to Oregon.” I expect the Duck staff would’ve relented. Two years is better than zero years.
My gut tells me there’s something more here. OSU beats USC. Oregon gets blown out. Maybe he got a preview of a new one-piece uni complete with zip-up front, rubber soled feet and an ass flap, and said “aw hell no.”
Purely one man’s speculation but it seems the “sitting out” scenario could have easily been mitigated. I suppose we might hear the whole truth at some point.
Of course, I’m a long standing member of the dump Aliotti bandwagon, so I’m probably looking for trouble. Come on Jared, jump on the bandwagon! Here – take my seat. It’s nice and warm.

My guess is that UO wasn't going to reserve a scholarship for him for this year
Just in case he didn’t qualify academically. He said he was given the run around by UO coaches.

OregonLive and the RG are also reporting...
…that Diante Jackson is likely to de-commit and instead commit to Colorado.
Somebody please wake Bellotti from his dream and remind him that we need to keep recruiting.
