The 12 Days of Duckmas: Day 12
In keeping with the Holiday Season, I would like to present a series called "The 12 Days of Duckmas", counting down 12 of the best moments from Oregon Duck Athletics in 2008. This isn't meant to be a comprehensive list by any means and is certainly not in order of importance. If anything is left out, the 13th day will be for finishing up the leftovers, taking back the unwanted gifts and spending those giftcards.
Now remember to sing along now...
On the 12th day of Duckmas, the Volleyball team gave to me...
a trip to the oh so Sweet 16!
Highlights from the season include a 15 home-winning streak, setting the largest home attendance record for Volleyball (3817) at Mac Court, 4 wins against teams ranked in the top 10, and reaching the highest national ranking ever for the program at #6. Even though the Volleyball team lost to Iowa State to knock them out of the tournament, the amount of growth this team has gone through in the past few years has been nothing short of amazing. Good job, girls!
They started strong, but lost the last three rounds. :-(
Regardless, that’s a huge success! Two years in a row!
Pac-10 made a good showing. California, Stanford, and Washington all made it into the Elite 8.
It's spelled "S-H-U-C-F-A-D-O-D-N-C-S"
Please, ask me about CFADODNCS.
