Morning Oatmeal: 86 Days Until Football

At last, our long national nightmare is over.  The Democratic primary has (finally) been decided.  Its Obama vs. McCain in the matchup of the millenium...........

Crap, wrong blog.

Here's your Duck news today:

Looks like Cody Kempt is transferring to Montana State.  Hard to fault Cody for this decision, as it looks unlikely that he would ever get another shot here.  Best of luck to you, Cody.  And Bozeman, Montana is gorgeous.

T-Mill over at Off the Tracks has a bit more to say about the Ducks today.

And Ray-Ray is now the tallest guy in Japan.

Today's video is for our Fresno State friend:

GO DUCKS!!!

Purdue blog

That was a good read. One of the better write ups I had seen by an Oregon opponent.

vid

huh, two (maybe three) FSU players in front of the play went for leaf and none covered the option. Weird

Leaf

One of the two times that Leaf did something good for the Ducks. The other, the game winning touchdown against Cal when we won 27-20 in OT at Autzen a couple years ago.

Good luck in Montana, Cody!

Probably a good choice for him. Sad to see a player go, but I totally understand, and I hope he has a great career in Bozeman.

Go Duckies!

Cody did the right thing for himself

Best of luck, yadda yadda yadda, what kind of offense does Montana State run? And what was his 40 time? He seemed a lot more mobile in the spring game, but I think it just wasn’t meant to be, us and him that is.

I’m also really excited for Ray. He was always one of my favorites. Great guy, good bruiser, did what was asked of him. He was also always the Pit Crew’s favorite.

And wooooooooooooooo Barack! Not sure what the politics rule is here, but I thought that they both had such passionate and wonderful speeches. Barack had that speech ready for some time. It was finally the night.

This is all the space your sig should occupy.

Good luck Cody

I feel for the boy. We get in two complete studs this recruiting class then to add insult to injury pick up a Juco national championship QB who knows how to run the spread. At that point the writing was on the wall. Too bad he didn’t transfer to Portland State. I wish the best for him except when they are playing the Vikings.

My question now is what happens to Cade Cooper? His he the bottom dweller now? I get confused was it Cade or Cody who also played baseball?

I was just thinking the same thing

Cooper seemed like less of an asset than Kempt, to me. Cooper could, and likely will transfer as well.

I'm pretty sure...

That Kempt played baseball.

You guys sound like Oregon let him go.

He made the choice to go, and it was a smart choice.

Maybe Cooper will go somewhere else too, but maybe not. He already has transfered twice from JuCo to BYU to Oregon.

Go Duckies!
