NCAA moves three point line back a foot
It'll be interesting to see how this affects our team. Hopefully, with Dunigan at center, and Catron ready to take on a bigger role, we'll be going inside a bit more this year. As for TP, one foot isn't going to bother him in the least.
Another reason to become less dependent on the three
75 word fact: former Duck and NFL WR JJ Birden didn't play football his freshman year. Coaches discovered him playing in a flag football rec league, and encouraged him to go out for the football team (per Tales From the Sideline)

Good
This was decided quite a while ago, but I’m glad to see it implemented this year. The 3 was waaaaaay to close. This may force more players to develop a mid-range game. I’m glad there’s now a middle ground between high school and the pros.

Yeah I agree
How do we think Tajuan will take it though? :’(

I don't think Tajuan will care
his range is WELL beyond the new line

That is true.
But maybe it’s a psychological thing, maybe after moving the line itself a whole foot back, he’ll naturally step a whole foot back?

New rule
This rule has been approved since during the season last year. This comes as no surprise. It is needed because some players like J.J. Redick who could shoot the three as well as his free throws.
