My Independence Day
Yesterday, I drove from Gresham (East-side Portland) down to Lincoln City to meet with one of my brothers down there. We were going to meet up at Devil’s lake and just go fishing (aka drinking beer while drowning worms).
I wish I had a sharpie or something with me, because on the other side of the boat ramp there was Dennis Dixon, Jaison Williams, Garren Strong, and a couple others I couldn’t identify, but I think one was – Drew Davis. They were all out jet skiing (And crashing quite often) and having a great time.
I’m glad I had my Oregon shirt, jacket, and sticker on my car. But take my advice – You never know who you’ll see – always have a sharpie or other felt pen marker handy.

Olympic Trials
I saw Dixon and Drew Davis walking around the Olympic Track and Field Trials festival on opening day. I was just surprised that Dixon was still here.

Yeah me too,
All these sightings of him round here are fairly surprising to me.

some come here and love it enough to make it their permanent home
Dennis may end up being one of those.

I kinda doubt it.
Usually those somes are linemen and PNW guys and guys with little future in pro football… Dennis just doesn’t seem to meet the criteria here.

I think he could be
I mean, not many other people would help coach and cheer on his team like he did post-injury. He was even on the lines for the majority of the spring game, which was day 1 of draft day.
While I admit it is speculation, I have little doubt that he loves the University of Oregon program, and maybe even the whole area.

That's the rumor anyway...
Maybe I missed the memo, but why do people say this?
