No more BtD talk

PrintLook, lately, there's been a lot of hissy fits (myself thoroughly included) over the writing over at BtD. The Beaver trolls haven't been around in a week or more, so this is the only thing Beav related that's been getting in our heads. And I think it should've stopped by now.
We've been noticing more and more, the simply rude and uncalled for animosity from writers such as CV3000, and the subsequent agreeing or encouraging from others. I have been especially riled up and have moseyed over to BtD to give him a piece of my mind a few times (once I felt I crossed the line, apologized almost immediately by replying to myself, and he fired back one more impolite jab.) You've also probably seen me, sometimes Joe, MIcDuck, et al. letting off some steam about the BtD writing over here. I apologize for this too.
Look now, this is just blogging. The Beavers themselves we don't have a problem with, but their seemingly 8-year-old bloggers get our tits in a knot? Come on guys. We want this place clean. Not stooped to their level. BtD may be a chute-de-crap, but that shouldn't concern us. We do our thing, they hate our thing. The little brother parallel has been drawn so many times I think it's getting nearer to infant sister. Premature infant sister.
I have long wondered how the likes of Mr. CV3000 could possibly be highly regarded on a blog, but hey, why do humans have appendixes? Well, to have appendectomies of course!
The reason I posted this is so we can get all of this out of our system. No more "ZOMGZZ!! LOOK @ WUT BtD SEZ BOUT US 2DAY!!" That just, as has been said, fuels the fire, fans the flames, frosts their cupcake, chalks another up for Fonzie, what have you. This is a Ducks blog. They are a Beavers anti-Ducks blog now, it seems. And you know what? Let them go ahead and do that. Stewing in their own pool of loathing and tantrums only hurts them, and it only hurts them more if we don't bat an eye.
So, for the sake of blogger integrity, don't give them the time of day. Make them nothing more than a Beaver in primal scream therapy trying to get a Duck to listen.
I will continue to post at BtD, but with this, my pointless posts of frustration and pissiness will be no more. All of you may go over and post there, and observe what happens there, but it will more than likely end up in frustration, confusion, and pity. See: noxious gases not recommended for inhalation.

Let them stew, and let their sights be on Oregon, and not on Pac-10 titles.

Like I heard someone say before, the Duck fans just don’t share the same intense hatred for OSU as the Beavs do for us. BtD can talk smack all they want. It’s best for us to just show some pride and let them wallow in their own poo and insults. You put it nicely by saying that “its only going to hurt them.”
They can run a homer/anti-duck blog if they want...
I do miss the old BtD though. I love Jake’s stuff. I’m okay with Beaver fans taking a jab at us, but some of the stuff has been below the belt. It’s ruffled our feathers (pun intended), and that’s what keeps driving them. It’s akin to the bully in the playground. It is best to just ignore/avoid them, and not pay attention to what they are saying.
Before I make a major mistake, I’m done with BtD. I’ll have to resist the temptation to see what’s been written over there. (Anyone know away to remove one of your blogs?)

I’ve written things on the front page to intentionally jab at Beaver fans. Its no suprise that BtD would do the same. Jake has always done a good job over there. And, while CV3000 may be more brash than Jake, I still hold that site in the upmost regard.
Take it for what it is—a blogger making jabs at a rival school, and don’t take it personally. The whining sounds like something I’d expect from bitter Beaver fans.

Honestly...
There is nothing wrong with rivalry, and taking jabs at each other. But if every other front page post was Anti-Beaver, I wouldn’t even be around here anymore. It gets old. And it gets pathetic when lame fabricated accusations are made.
I LIKE the Beavers still. I LIKE the program. I LIKE their players. I LIKE their coach. Jake is my favorite OSU blogger. If UofO wasn’t around, I’d probably be a Beaver fan. But there is one game I want OSU to lose in a given year.

Yknow, I agree with ATQ on this one. Oregon and OSU is a bitter rivalry. In real life and on blogs, too. If they DIDN’T hate on the Ducks, I’d say “Where is your passion for the greatest part of college football, the hate?”

Smother them with over the top kindness
I was watching “Last comic standing recently” and they had a challenge that involved “your momma” jokes. Anyway to get to the point there was one act called god’s pottery which has a farsical (is that a word?) take on those real sappy goody goody christians that smother you with kindness and positivity, you know the type. Any way they were not about to jump out of character to go insulting their opponents’ mothers and instead did a bunch of “your momma is so awesome” jokes, it was hilarious. The best part was the look on everyone’s face – they really didn’t know how to respond. I recently tried this with my brother (the only beaver fan in the family) and it worked just like the show, he was dumbfounded and didn’t know how to respond. So I say let’s go over there and kill them with over the top kindness. For example you could say OSU is so awesome that every day in corvallis is like living in awesome town. Just really corny stupid stuff like that.

that they dropped the “U” off the end of thier acronym so their fans wouldn’t be temted to add an “M” making it

Let me be the first to say that I am sorry, and this is not what I wanted to happen to a fellow blogger. Much as his writing got on my little nerves, his termination from the blog makes me feel none too great.
