My $0.02
It's not often that I'll come over here to write something. In fact, I can't even say that I read this blog everyday. It may sound rude of me to not support a colleague, but quite frankly, I could care less what is said about Oregon State on this blog. This is a rivalry. Trash talking is part of rivalries. But it's gotten to the point that I need to say something.
Addicted to Quack and Building the Dam are different communities. We're fans of different schools. And our schools are rivals.
Addicted to Quack is the giant tailgate party for Duck fans. Building the Dam is the tailgater for Beaver fans. While some things that CV3000 have written may have been over the top or crossed the line, it's nothing that you wouldn't hear on gameday in Corvallis or Eugene.
CV3000 is one of the most knowledgeable people on Oregon State football that I know. He's already demonstrated that on BtD. What he can take away from a game or a practice eclipses what I could on my own, which is why he has and will make a good addition to BtD.
Every fan and blogger is different. Every blogger chooses the way they want to present themselves to their community. If CV3000 wants to take some jabs, I don't see a problem with that. At the end of the day, this is football. There are many things more important than football. Many things.
"Bragging rights" is a term that comes up frequently when fans refer to rivalries. Right now, Oregon State has the bragging rights. Had Oregon spiked the ball to stop the clock at the end of the fourth quarter and given their FG unit time to line up, this would be a completely different story.
We have the bragging rights this year. There is now way to deny that. When the Beavers and Ducks meet at Reser on November 29, bragging rights will again be on the line.
Myself and CV3000 definitely have different styles. And the addition of CV3000 to Building the Dam has definitely shaken things up. I realize this, but still stand behind my decision to add CV3000 to the mix.
Look forward to reading the comments. Hope I made myself clear. Call me out if I didn't.

Done with the drama.
Maybe I’m wrong, but SBNation seams to be an overall community.
I really don’t like the divisiveness, when the functionality of the network is very interconnected. Regardless, I’ll stay on my side of the fence and stop caring about your blog, because that’s the general vibe I’m getting from both blogs.
Trash talking? It’s fine. I’ve been one of the first to remind people that OSU won the bragging rights. But the problem is that the writing over there isn’t bragging. It’s very belittling, and often unfounded.
I’m working on my own attitude, but it sounds like you’re wanting feedback. Hope it helps.
Keep up the good work over there, and good luck for this season.
Go Duckies!
Jake, I like you
I like your writing. I like the way you present yourself, and I like you moseying over here to put in your words to us.
The reason I posted the No BtD talk fanpost is to quell this all. I have nothing against you, and I understand you defending CV3000. Just now, we’re seeing a few of us (again, I too) getting our panties bunched due to the ratio of 3:2 in total posts:duck bashing posts, by CV3000. I and a few others just don’t know why you would want that sort of writing on the blog that for a long time you managed and ran so well.
Again, nothing against you.
Your friendly neighborhood placekicker.
Completely agree, Jake
I have no problem with CV. You guys have the right to say whatever you want on your board, and vice versa. Some people are taking things a little too personally.

Agree
I agree with Dave (and Jake) on this whole thing. I could care less about inflammatory content that is posted on a Beaver blog — in fact, I expect there to be some animosity towards Oregon. That said, I think it is great that the blog includes someone like Jake who has the respect of a lot of posters on this site.
Yup
Everyone is free to write whatever the hell they want on their blogs. It’s the internet baby!
As far as all the bragging and what not….eh…I’m sick of it. It’s boring. Plus, it’s not really like CV3000 is a real authority on Oregon athletics, so there’s no reason to let his comments get under your skin.

Its cool
everyone has there thing. Best of luck to OS next season.
I read
I read this blog to stay up on Oregon Football. I live in Missouri so its hard to hear about our Ducks, besides what I read in newspaper articles. I believe this blog to be a knowledgable blog coming from the blue-collar fan. Not some sports writer trying spice things up and make it sound like more than it is.
That being said I belive that the main reason alot of us Duck fans get upset at what the OS fans post is there total lack of unintelligence sometimes. They come on our blog and say things that are totally false and very asinine. Many times they dont take the time to have proper grammar or sentence structure. I agree that Duck fans on other blogs do this as well, but on this blog a majority of the time its informational blogging. We do have the guy that posts stupid things like DUCKS ARE GONNA WIN THE SHIP DIS YEAR DOGG. And when that happens he’s bashed just like any other homer.
I guesS what Im saying here is talk trash, because it keeps things interesting and enjoyable, but if your going to do it have some facts to back your talk.
