New Student Ticket Distribution...... anyone know what's up?
Does anyone know whats going on with the new ticket distribution?
What I was told was you will need to create some account on GoDucks.com first, then there will be the same amount of tickets for each class status and depending on your status you have a certain time to log onto GoDucks and verify you want your ticket (either on credits like when you register for classes or just freshmen, sophmore, junior, senior times, and at the minute each class can log on, its a clusterf--k, free for all). Then you don't get a physical ticket it is put onto your ID card and scanned at the gate.
Does anyone else know any details about this new method, This way that I was told could be totally wrong but that is what i was told. I looked around on GoDucks and the internet for something but couldn't find anything, I'm sure they will send out an email, but I wanna get my ticket for the Fusky game when they come out so I wanna see if anyone else knows whats up!

Thank you for the link!
Man, I don’t know if i really like this new policy, mainly its if you can’t log-in during your alloted time (work, class, ect.) your screwed.
is this better
I hate waiting in the line. But this seams iffy to me. As long as I get in it doesn’t matter, I guess.

The worst
The worst part of this is this part:
Students that pick up a ticket but do not show up for the game will now forfeit opportunities to attend future contests.
You pick up a ticket for a game, family emergency arises, you can’t go to ANY future games.
lifetime?
How long is the ban? You miss one game, lets a assume a good excuse, and you cant get another ticket till you graduate and have to pay real money?
I also don’t know how I feel about reserving OS tix for people with the most games under their belt. Everyone should have the same opportunity to hate on those terrible people.

miss a game
From what I read in the article if you miss one game you are ok, but the punishment begins after missing two games. After you miss two games you miss the next home game and if you miss three games you can’t go for the rest of the season. Same goes for the basketball season. I don’t like the idea of giving priority to people who have 100% attendance. 1,000 students may only go to one game and look they have 100% attendance. That part of the system is flawed. I also don’t like how all the classes have the same number of tickets. What happens if one class doesn’t use all their tickets?

Don't plan on going?
Leave the ticket for someone who will. I feel for the guy that has a family emergency or something, but there is no excuse for missing several games.

I really like this
I waited in line 12 hours for Civil War tickets in ‘01. Actually, the new system in ‘02 cut most waits down to an hour. Prior to that, it was at least three hours, even for crappy games.

Last year was bad
Dixon must shoulder some of the blame for the long lines, not that its a bad thing. I know people that waited upwards of three hours. I cant wait to get a ticket from home after sleeping in all day. It will be nice.
