black helmets

Is so that you have to make meaningful posts, and not just spam it.

To be frank, until I see some pictures with the “O” on the side, I’ll just assume it’s some flavor of their practice helmets. I’m a guy that likes to see the finish product.

From what I’ve heard, doesn’t sound like there is a black helmet for this year. There was an interview with the equipment manager (don’t remember where it is, otherwise I’d post it), and they asked him straight up about any new combinations or uniforms or helmets, and he said there isn’t anything new planned.

Also, I believe all the black helmet speculation started when someone misquoted Chris Harper as saying that Chip Kelly promised him they’d have black helmets at some point. But they interviewed Chip about it, and he said that he told Chris it’s a possibility in the future, but that it wasn’t planned at this point. So basically a quote taken out of context.

My thoughts though, if we did bust out a black helmet, I’d say we do a “blackout.” And debut it in the Civil War next year just to irritate the Barkrats.

When teams bring out new dynamic uni changes they usually keep it under raps until gameday. Last year Georgia said nothing about the black jerseys until they came back in from warm ups THE DAY OF THE GAME.
So I don’t put too much weight in what an equipment manager says in fall camp.
