I'm pretty excited about this.

I’m really glad there is going to be no yellow helmets that I have to watch. Those things are plain awful.

In the minority

To be honest, I really like the yellow helmets. The supreme tackiness of it all just makes something feel all warm and fuzzy inside. As far as the white goes, it seems that we are starting to use the white for big road games. I would love to see this become a tradition…especially if it gives us the right result. :)

Minority

I like the yellow helmets too. I’ve recruited several people I work with as new Duck fans and took them to the Utah State game. Everyone one of them LOVE the yellow helmets. They liked the way they looked from the 20th row….then we got home and they looked them up online to see the flames and they love them even more.

Like I’ve said before….I don’t care if I like them, and I don’t care if the 50 year old sportscaster on ESPN likes them. If they (and the uni’s) HELP land us recruits like Blount I don’t care what we wear.

Purdue Coach Joe Tiller was asked how to defend the Oregon spread offense:

"You see if coach Bellotti will agree to allow us to play 12 men versus their 11. Outside of that, I don't have any answers."

can we go back to calling them grellow?

I just kind of like that word, and it’s accurate.

They've gone to plaid!

I was at the Washington game

And we looked like seriously bad ass stormtroopers. Heck if our offense runs anywhere close to the way it did last time we wore those things, we’ll kick their ass.

Oh and Dixon is apparently coming back for the UCLA game…

According to this blog post...

…the combo will be white lids, white jerseys, green pants (the UCLA combo)
