NO VIDEO???
yeah right bradLL99 what the heck is wrong with the VIDEO FEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O-Zone
Hows the video feed from O-Zone? Any better than last year? I remember it was really grainy for bball and football.
I guess it really doesn’t matter because I already ordered it. Just Curious.
I watched Utah State on it
Quality was good in the small window. I have a Mac so I couldn’t make it bigger

Utah State as well
Camera work early in the game was terrible. There’s nothing quite as frustrating as watching Blount run out of the picture. The production improved as the game went on.
- Jeremy
The explanation for that was that the CSN feed wasn’t working in the first quarter, so they were running the Autzen scoreboard feed. They should have it fixed for today’s game

inroywetrust, which browser (and media player) are you using on your mac? I’ve been able to run the radio feed and “on demand” video through firefox, but in my two attempts this season i have not been able to get the live video feed to work

What happened to our “amazing” defense. it’s like there falling apart
1st half
Do we know that you can play in the first half of the game. We really need to step up and play all of the game, not just the second half.
Worst play calling...
I’ve seen since the Indiana game a few years back. Masolli looked okay on a couple passes early in the game…let him throw.
- Jeremy
No kidding.
I don’t understand why Chris Harper is even playing at all. I’ve been steadily losing faith in Belloti this year.

your dumb...
because he can scramble…so he won’t get as sacked as easily….remember the heisman candidate last year???
He can scramble,
but he doesn’t do anything else. Every time he’s in, the defense KNOWS that he’s either going to hand it off or run it himself. I’m absolutely amazed that Boise St. is the first team to figure this out.
When he learns to throw the ball, then we’ll talk.

No...
Nobody is a redshirt until the end of the year. That’s how it works. It isn’t a preseason announcement, it is something that is filed to the NCAA at the end of the season.
Go Duckies!
Oh!
That makes a lot of sense; I didn’t realize that. When announcers say that a team has “removed the redshirt” from a player, I thought that meant it was a preseason designation. Thanks for clarifying that for me.

This is Ugly
We is Chip Kelly’s creativity. He’s gonna have to draw up some crazy stuff at halftime in order for us to get back in this.
we should've lost last week....
BUT THIS WEEK WE WILL LOSE>>>>no doubt….
It's gotta be another concusion
Purely speculation, but Masoli took one to the head on the personal foul in the first quarter. Yeah, we’re screwed.
- Jeremy
Roper
If roper isn’t as bad as everyone is saying (that he could be back next week) then let’s let him sit in the pocket and throw the ball. We are running no problem, just can’t get the pass. I know that’s desperate but hey we don’t have a whole lot of choices right now.
I kinda feel bad for CK
He’s completely hamstrung at QB. Harper can’t throw, he doesn’t want to blow the RS on Thomas for one game, sounds like J-Mas is hurt, all he can do is keep running
Masoli
Looks like he may have suffered a concussion after that cheap shot in the 1st Q. I think Belloitt will need to play Thomas in the 2nd half.
gameplan
What a cheep gameplan to get in there and shake up our first time qb’s. I guess it would be worth the 15 yarder to take their guy out. Apparently that’s ok
Why are the duck fans all booing so loudly?
This is the first team you’ve played that has any chance of a winning record. Too bad you can’t play Utah State every week.
Boise State is slashing through your defense with a very effective play action passing game. That’s the problem with running a zone defense—everybody’s like “not my guy, he’s out of my zone.” The weird thing is that …the ducks are getting NO pressure on the quarterback, but they’re still getting beat with play action every time. It’s just a break down.
Your quarterbacks suck, too. The only threat is to wait for the play to dissolve and then pull the ball down and run. That might have something to do with the lack of offensive output. Oregon needs to stop trying to run outside. It isn’t working and it won’t work. Boise State has too much speed.
However, Blount’s TD was fantastic. The up-the-middle running game is having [borat voice] greaat suk-cess. Need to keep putting the rock in his belly.
This game isn’t over, but…the only chance the ducks have is to run a hurry-up option running game for the entire 3rd quarter and then maybe have a deep play action pass go for a big gain after about 2 series of running the option.
Welcome to the rest of your season.
We know's he's right
But only a beaver states the obvious as he does. Anyone that can’t see that was cheap shot on masoli is blind.
Wow…all that stunning and insightful commentary and you even managed a Borat reference in there.

I mean
the dude’s right. He didn’t say anything that wasn’t true. Unless Roper improves his deep ball or Masoli/Harper learns how to throw period, opposing teams are gonna put 8 in the box and dare our QBs to beat them through the air. Spread-option running game is only effective if you have the threat of the pass to keep them off-balance.

We gotta, gotta, gotta
stay out of third-and-longs. Is there any reason we can’t start setting up WR screens or flare passes or quick outs? Quick-hitting plays to pick up 3-4 yards through the air? ANYTHING to keep them from teeing off on Blount.
WTH
Did they do all week in practice. Surely they practiced throwing a pass. Something other than run up the middle

It's like
They are playing our gameplan. That’s what we should be doing this is sick
Either...
Belotti has zero faith in Harper’s arm, or Harper is just a pure runner. Either way, why put him at QB in the first place? Surely he is decent enough throwing to at least give it a shot a few times. Down by this much, either throw the ball or we’re just conceeding.
Focus on the Future
I say pull thomas out of RS and let him take a beating this year so he is ready for next. If w eare going to lose then let’s get some experience doing it.
great decision
to bring the ball out to the 10

What a disappointing loss. The only good thing that can be said about this is we appear to have found a QB. Too bad our coaching staff wasn’t up to Thomas’ level today.
No kidding
I say stick with him if he can make the pass then bring our RB in and mix up our offense.
Definitely. I think Thomas should move up ahead of Harper. He may even be ahead of Masoli after what we all saw today.

The thing that's infuriating about that
is that it was ALL through the air. Boise State had no running game whatsoever today, and we were STILL getting killed deep. That’s inexcusable. I feel like Belloti and co. made two fundamental erroneous assumptions in their planning today: that Oregon would get the lead early and control the clock with the running game, and that their freshman QB was gonna be rattled playing in Autzen and not much of a threat. When both those assumptions were proven wrong, there was an utter inability to adjust.

About Thomas' last two series...

Above 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and out of bounds doesn’t stop the clock? The NCAA is realllllly stretching to make the games left thats BS

it's a chicken/egg thing, really

what's the first word on masoli?
Serious? Concussion? Anybody know?

Stupid kicking game
and pass defense and inability to produce positive plays for far too much of the game. Big concerns raised by this game. But maybe we’ll be better now that we’re gonna fall out of the spotlight.
Not just questionable.
Inexcusable.

If you go to www.firemikebellotti.com is says “redshirt.com – admitting you have a problem”. How funny is THAT?

Also
the second-worst part about this loss? The collective crapping-upon of the Pac-10 that will only be intensified, and the pathetic group fellation of the SEC will only be more fervent. Big ugh.
well
Yes, but we can’t afford to look past WSU. They are terrible, but… geez.

Hyperfocus on USC
might mean a loss against WSU. I don’t think we’re good enough to look past anybody. I sure hope we’re just focused on next week.

Quick questions
1. VD how do you come back from a loss to Boise State?(OS knows a thing or two about that)
2. Why the name VD, I couldn’t give a river rats ass about your Herp problem?
Quick answers
1. It’s probable. Boise State is a good team. The defense has to play better. Oregon will bounce back from a tough loss. So will Cal and Arizona State. It’s still gonna be a dog fight in the Pac 10. And don’t count the Beavs out just yet. We will make some noise by the end of the year.
2. It’s my initials.

I'll never count OS out
MR is the best coach in the Pac-10. You’re also right about the D, last year the Defense did a good job at forcing turnovers, this year nothing. Or 3.
MR is NOT the best coach in the Pac-10
He’s in the discussion for doing the best with what he’s got, but the reason he doesn’t have that much talent is because he isn’t that good at recruiting. Pete Carroll is the best coach in the Pac-10

in his defense
It’s hard to recruit to Corvallis. 2nd hardest in the Pac 10 next to WSU. But he was USC’s first choice for head coach over Pete Carroll. True story

Fair enough...
I’m not knocking Riley. He’s a great coach. If I had one game to save my life and I had to choose a Pac-10 coach, I would either choose him or Pete. But you can’t argue with what Carroll’s accomplished at SC in his time there

The Pac-10 is not good this year....
It’s gonna be a dogfight for 2nd place. Oregon’s defense fell apart today, and was not helped with field position. I was very shocked to see what BSU did to our secondary. They did a great job against the run, but play action obliterated the secondary, and it was sad.

Look at the bright side
At least Oregon knows that it needs to recruit twice as many quarterbacks next year!
10 QBs on the roster!
Check!
With our luck, we’ll recruit one, and he’ll spontaneously explode on his first snap on the field.
Go Duckies!
If it were something a little less gruesome...
…I would offer to do it, just to spare one of our other QBs. Maybe we could all pitch in some body parts this year. We need two knees, a head, and a new arm for Chris Harper….
