Was I alone...
So the police presence at the game last week seemed oppressive. My dad and I walked around the outside ring near the entrances and we both noted how many cops, sheriffs, etc. there were and how it made us feel a bit uncomfortable. (Keep in mind I'm an attorney and have never been in trouble with the law and my dad hasn't been arrested to my knowledge, and we both still felt uncomfortable.) Anyone else notice this?

Police presence...
Homersolo,
I can remember a game when the police outnumbered the students and fans….the frozen donut bowl Civil War 0 to 0 game…we sat in every section we hadn’t been to which elicited many arguments….we felt like we were alone as well, except we were at Autzen.
Talk about lacking a kicking game……
The cold, the slight fog and feeling we were the only non family members there…then I had to go back to Lawrence Hall and ‘studio." It was so empty that I ran into my family dentist and HAD to party in their RV – one of the few there in 1980’s….of course we laughed about the fact that my family had lived on Day Island Road just twenty years prior….
Anyway, Homersolo, police presence is the sign of success. We used to have tail gaters on the south, west and east sides well B4 the Moshofsky center and reserved parking back in the 80’s.
All of that included motorized daquiri blenders, kegs, stolen footballs, BBQ’s, WALKING to the game, partying right next to the gates, open parking lots with non of the improvements you see today….
Anyway, don’t complain about the police. Just go about your business – it is Saturday night in Eugene. Go home and celebrate or party with your tail gate and hey go home!
Police are invisible until they decide to take an interest in you…

BSU Fans
There were a ton more visiting fans than normal. I didn’t notice a ton more police but if there were I’m sure that’s why.

Funny you should say that.
I am from NC and was up for the game w/a few NC friends and we talked about how FEW cops their were. Around here you get more police presence during football games.
Funny.
