The hit that knocked Masoli out of the game.
Was it cheap? It wasn't really late, but the nature of the hit, and how the BSU player used his helmet was pretty crap.

I don't have a problem with hard hits...
but leading with your head and going for the other’s head isn’t cool at all.

It wasn't cheap...
It was gray on the timing, but like you said, the penalty was more for the nature of the hit. That wasn’t a clean hit. In my perfectly biased opinion, he probably should have been ejected for the hit on Masoli. It was done with intention to make the QB feel pain, and he just let the moment get to his head. That’s dangerous.
I also agreed with the ejection of the other player.
I’m not accusing Boise St. of playing dirty ball. They out played/coached us, and they won fair. Injuries are a part of the game, and it’s a rough game, but their players need to play smarter before they get in some serious problems.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO dirty.
Any time you hit with the top of your head it’s cheap. It’s also called spearing and is most often a flagable offense in HS games.
I hope that effing idiot hits more guys like that though, because he’s got a major neck injury in the waiting if he keeps putting his head down like that. Dude will turn into a vegetable, only then will he think twice about the cheapness of taking someone down like that.
Omar...I'm done with you. Hello Darren Ford! Come to papa.

That's awful.
I’d hope he would become a smarter player. I wouldn’t wish for paralysis on my worst enemy.
When a defensive guy gets an opportunity to hit a QB like that, he usually isn’t thinking about just making the tackle, he’s thinking about dishing pain to the protected princess. If you can make the QB squirm and be afraid of pain, you can get into his head for the rest of the game. Pain was his goal, but I doubt he was thinking about dishing out an injury.

I'd like to see that guy castrated and all
But he could easily snap someone else’s neck sometime soon, and I’d hate for that to be his “lesson.”
