Let's Talk A Little Hardball
Oh yeah, there are other Oregon sports!
I guess George Horton was a good hire as our Oregon Baseball team just turned in the #2 recruiting class in the country.
Second only to fellow Pac-10 foe Arizona state we could be slated for some fun times on the diamond in the coming years. I for one look forward to going to games and see that pile of dirt in the Autzen parking lot before football games and my mind starts to drift to baseball. Sweet, sweet baseball.
Presale began today for the late march Civil War match up at PGE Park so get yourself out there if you live in Portland!
GO DUCKS!

Kick ass!
I’m excited for our baseball program. I’m gonna try and make it to the Civil War games at PGE Park.

That was a GENIUS idea putting the Civil War games at PGE. Can’t wait to go!

PGE
Here’s the announcement from goducks.com.
I think this would be a great idea for an ATQ meet up too with all the GA options and the surrounding bars and such.

I am so getting season tix when they move into the new field. Not jumping on them at Civic yet.
Your friendly neighborhood placekicker.
they're not playing at Civic
though I wish they were. Civic is totally badass. Its a shame they’re giving it the wrecking ball.

?
The first season was set to be at Civic during construction… at least, that’s what the season ticket offer said.

Pretty freaking amazing
that a school that hasn’t even fielded a team in my lifetime could get the #2 class. Horton is money well spent.

It's okay dude
We’re all baseball fans here too. We’re not jumping ship on football because of a loss, we’re just beating the post-defeat whining bag to death.
Your friendly neighborhood placekicker.
My Sincere Apologies......
Didn’t mean to demean any of you baseball fans with my last post. I was a little toasted (note the time of the post) and was quite excited for the game today. I understand that this blog supports more sports than just football. I hope that you can all forgive me and I hope that the baseball team has great success. (In the Borat voice of course) And no matter the sport I know that we can all cheer………GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beisbols
Glad to see the guys blow up the cougs today. But, fuck I love baseball! How are things looking for a baseball blogger, Dave?
oh, don't worry, we'll cover baseball
I’m FREAKING pumped!

That's impressive but remember
Baseball is a completely different sport when it comes to recruiting. A lot of those guys you recruited will never play an inning in an Oregon uniform, as they will be in the minors somewhere. OSU finally started getting good recruiting classes the last couple of years and we’ve lost a lot of those guys to the pros.

Thanks for the tid-bit...
I figured as much – most of us are still noobs to collegiate baseball, (though I’m less, as I’ve followed OSU pretty closely the last few years).
