A small suggestion for ATQ.
Don't let the title fool you. I am really glad I found this site, but I have a little suggestion to liven up the jersey contest. As I was watching the Bulldogs get their asses handed to them by the Tide I thought won't it be a little more interesting if you kept with the 4 high profile games and then for the fifth added an obscure D1/D1AA game in the mix. I watched a little of the Alabama State/Mississippi Valley State game and thought it might be cool to ask the ATQ bloggers who would win that game.
Just a thought, not saying the old way is wrong just thought this might add a little spice everynow and again.

i like it how it is
I think the point of the jersey contest is to see which poster is the most knowledgeable in accessing teams strengths and weaknesses plus how they will match up with another team. Adding a D2 game would turn 1/5 of the predictions into a coin flip. And dave usually adds one game thats obscure like some mountain west game.

Ehhh
It’s an inventive thought, and thanks for the input, but like Dougall said, most people don’t care about Northern Southern Missouri Valley Christian Tabernacle Junior Varsity State vs. Minnesota Christian University or whatever.
I like how it is now, with the wild card coming from the MAC or WAC or whatever.
I guess your idea could be possible as an added game, like a bonus, but we shouldn’t remove one more contest from it for something like the aforementioned matchup.

Those obscure MWC teams are doing as good better than the Pac-10 right now.
BYU ranked 8th. Utah ranked 15th. TCU just dropped from the polls, but I can see them still going strong this season and jumping back in.
Not to mention the MWC is currently 5-1 versus Pac-10.

BYU is not the 8th team in the nation...
When they can barely beat UW.

I've never fallen into the notion...
that no team in the land is allowed an “off” day.
They may not be the 8th team in the nation on the field (except according to the polls), but if they played UW 10 times I’d venture they’d win 8 of those. That’s just my opinion, of course.
Like Oregon—play Boise St. 10 times and I say Oregon wins at least six of those. But Oregon didn’t play up to their potential that day.

I agree with Dougall
A D1-AA game would turn into a coin flip. Although it’d likely be better than most ACC games.
