No...it's not...
Give the points, Oregon will cover easily. Purdue is not a good football team.

You could say that about any game ever played...
And that just gets stupid.

I Agree
We have a lot of veterans, especially on defense, all of which saw last year at Michigan what it takes to travel to the Big 11 and dominate. I look for the secondary to make a big statement in a national game. Chung was pissed after the UW game for the defense not having an INT yet…how pissed do you think he is now??? Purdue throws the ball A LOT. I predict a huge breakout game by the defense, with 3+ forced turnovers. The run game will DOMINATE. Ducks by 10+.

Another thing to remember...
Purdue’s WRs are not very good. They will not be able to stretch the field, and will rely on the short passing game (this is what the Purdue offense devolved into last year against good teams). They won’t get easy separation and will be unable to turn short passes into longish gains because our secondary tackles so well. Painter’s yards per attempt plummeted against decent competition last year, when he had better receivers.
The Purdue offense will have an incredibly tough time overcoming any mistakes. A holding penalty, sack, etc. will spell doom for a drive.
If Oregon can get any sort of pressure on Painter (which I expect), it will be a long day for him. While he is a better passer than Locker, he won’t be able to escape.
Purdue’s offense plays right into Oregon’s strengths. I see them stepping up BIG TIME this game.

Baylor is the permanent whipping boys
Of the Big 12. Seriously they have won less than 10 big 12 games in total….
