More BCS Fallout From Utah Win
This from ESPN-U yesterday... Utah Attorney General is investigating possible antitrust suit against Bowl Championship Series. BCS folks claim their system was designed with legal ramifications well considered.
Is the battle just beginning?

Y'know, I hate the BCS too
but doesn’t the Utah Attorney General have other things to commit resources to? Miracle Mine fraud? Sexual abuse in polygamist communities? Just sayin’.

Pretty good point.
Can’t say I disagree. If they’ve got a case they should make it. But until the AG’s office actually files a meaningful suit it sounds like they’re just stroking their voters.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

as important as those issues are, and how silly it sounds to be defending the AG on this one, I think you have to put some energy. The money at stake for the universities as well as the conferences associated to those are huge and make gigantic impacts on those campuses. It is fairly anti-competitive given the huge amounts of money involved. I applaud the Utah AG for doing work on this issue.
Not saying those other issues aren’t important, but given the money involved with the BCS and how Utah is locked out (seemingly for no reason), I think it is at least worth a look see.

Valid points, but
if the Utah AG was serious about it he would have organized with other state AGs that could make the same argument and have reason for doing so—Idaho’s, for example. So I think JConant has it right: Just grandstanding for the voters.

President Elect again suggests a playoff is needed.
See Obama’s comments following last night’s Florida v. Oklahoma game, here.
Gents, it seems to me that momentum is building.
