I HATE the PATS!!!! I’m a Red Sox fan because I live in Boston of the West. I went to school for a couple years in Pittsburgh and my Dad had a good friend from high school who played on the 70’s Steelers, so I was kind raised a Steelers fan… still am.
I’m currently a Steelers fan because they have this dude named Dixon on the roster.
But Matt, why then this suspicious and alarming affection for the BoSox? I grew up in NY, so at least there’s a physiological basis for my perversion.

MLB is probably my 5th favorite sport (College Football, NBA Basketball, NFL, and College Basketball being 1-4)
I have family that have lived in Boston for years, and since I live in Boston of the West (Portland, OR) and I believe you can’t be neutral in the NY/Red Sox rivalry I decided to side with Boston. Its not an undying love because in all honesty I can go an entire season without watching one baseball game. That and the yankees are just easy to hate… :-)
Not nearly as easy as the Red Sox these days. As long as you don’t sport a Yastrzemski throwback and a green hat, I won’t hate you too much. =)
