Media Wednesday - Before "The Pick", there was "The Drive"
Now the easy thing to do for Media Wednesday would be to splash up one of the 100 or so versions of "The Pick" to celebrate Hate Week. We're better than that. We don't need to showcase that same play over and over, one that's played on Duck Vision before every single game, one that lives in infamy as one of the greatest plays in Oregon Ducks history. No my friends! Media Wednesday digs deeper to celebrate the events that led up to that turning point.
98 yards for the score to even get us in position for "The Pick". Thanks to JConant for passing this one along.

Hehe old football
MB as offensive coordinator
Coach headsets on wires, i loved watching the wire guys as a kid
The band still played 5
Gary Camble was still running backs coach
Much of the credit goes to a defense that hasn’t allowed a substantial touchdown drive in nearly a month

Gary Campbell still is the running backs coach.

Yeah, me too
I watched that game at Good Times with a cue stick in my hands. I will never forgive myself for not being at Autzen, though I did make it to the Rose Bowl.

What was so great about that drive, is Oregon had (I think) less than 150 total yards on the day up to that point. The UW defense had really clamped down on the Ducks, and then, when they needed it the most, Danny O’Neil drove them down the field for the go ahead score…

Great drive.
And big plays by O’Neil and the rest of the offense. I love “The Pick”, but if it weren’t for the amazing drive before that, it never would have happened.
I love beating OSU....but nothing is better than DESTROYING the fuskies.

also
It was the first time Danny O’Neil had led a 4th quarter comeback…for all the stats he had racked up as the replacement of Bill Musgrave, O’Neil’s big knock was that if the Ducks didn’t have the lead in the 4th quarter O’neil couldn’t bring ’em back. Until this drive…

Speaking of
The Pick, is there a youtube or other video clip of the entire defensive drive by the huskies out there somewhere? I have seen tons of the last play, but I would like to see the whole series.

WTF
So let me get this straight: We are automatically locked out of the national championship picture because of a loss to Boise State, but USC still lingers in it depsite losing to UW? Is there any kind of logic that can explain that?

Lol wrong post with my last comment—but yes, “The Drive” was quite spectacular

Birds of a feather?
Yet another J-dude. The poor guys over at CGBs have to just be shaking their heads in disgust. When will it all stop going wrong? Maybe basketball season.

Nice video
Dameron Ricketts is definitely now my favorite Duck from before I became a fan. I mean, how much better does a name get than “Dameron Ricketts”?
As a side note, how much do you think they paid the guy to carry the wire around for the coaches?
I feel the need, the need...for speed!

I'd say they got paid in trident layers gum
The commercial isn’t online anywhere or I would put it here.
