Postgame Open Thread - Oregon @ Washington
Here's your chance to talk about the Oregon victory at the "Mistake by the Lake". That makes 6 in a row over Washington and we remain in the drivers seat for the Pac-10 Championship. What went right, what went wrong and who is your MVP for the game. We'll get a more detailed recap up later.
Oh and here's to you jtlight. I should never have doubted your prediction of a blow out

Trap Game My Ass
Guess Oregon didn’t get the memo they were supposed to be looking forward to USC so Washington could keep it close. Ooops
As things stand right now, we’re each looking at 4-1 in the Jersey Contest. You’ll not catch me this week!
Life is a sport: Watch other people play it.
Yeah. Two games back. Looking tough.
Who IS axeman? Let’s get him.
Life is a sport: Watch other people play it.
I can get him tomorrow at racquetball club.
Addicted To Quack [dot] com; Six-hundred and ninety-four yards of total offense.
DANGEROUS sport
a lot of things can happen out there.

Especially because he's a huge, Ropert-esque target.

Huge error by Tennesee there
Should have tried to get about 10 yards more.

This is what the entire bar full of UTexas fans was screaming
Hoping to move up to #2
And I agree

Yeah, 45 seconds
Your kicker has already had one blocked form that range. Try and get 10 more yards or so.

between that 'no gain' and miss state not using their timeout...???????
at the very least, incredibily poor clock management….at the worst…..cover?the spread
Hahaha
42-3, 65-38...So many scores to choose from!

Seattle ABC Huskies Postgame show to the tune of “Tonight’s gonna be a good night”
One of the highlights was the tackle on Costa after the fake FG.

No
I assume its because I’m in Oregon and so they won’t switch out.

I'm in the Seattle area and they didn't switch.

Now that's BS
Alaska is west coast, and lots of OR and WA alums up here. Doesn’t matter alt least I can let my dog in the house now (he’s a husky)
Happened on DirectTV out of LA
Was talking to a Fellow Web Foot during the Game, his Direct TV switched to the Clemson Game when Costa Fumbled the ball. His feed was ABC out of LA.
David Paulson
I knew he would come up big in a few key moments and he didn’t let me down. I figured somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 catches for 50+ yards and maybe a TD. I wasn’t far off.
LMJ finally got that long TD run out of the way. A great play. I hope to see a lot more of that.
Masoli…He looked fine to me. Missed on a few passes, and ran the read-option well. Nice momentum going into next week.
The second half D was not what we saw in the previous few games. I hope they go back to the tackling drills and wrap up at USC. It will be a long day if they don’t. I remember at least 3 or 4 plays that went over 20 yards. Yes it was garbage time, but that didn’t stop the D against Cal, WSU and fUCLA.
I still like 4-0 in Pac-10 play!
GO DUCKS!!!!
May we hand you your taints on a silver platter...
That was the second team D
I don’t care.

Oregon needs to clean up a lot more. They need to play smarter. Penalties were probably a 14 point swing.
It's spelled "S-H-U-F-E-L-T-H-I-M-S-E-L-F"
I think that's why he was in late in the game
When the rest of the starters were out.

My criticisms
1. Tackling
2. Tell Barner to get the f-k away from the punt if he is not going to field it.
"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely
Barner should have tried to catch it
He called for the fair catch. If the guy who was coming at him hits him, which was likely, we get the ball and the penalty. Better decision making for sure.
May we hand you your taints on a silver platter...
If we eliminate the special teams mess up against Cal, Wazzu, Utah (respect to WTIII…we miss you), and today, we’re giving up even fewer points. Opponents are pretty much only getting what we give them by mistake or penalty.
I do think we cleaned up the tackling mid game. I sure didn’t start well. Also, FANTASTIC job of containing Locker. Our rush maintained lanes, big guys got hands in passing lanes and our linebackers took good angles to keep Locker from getting any more than a couple yards, or in most cases, losses.
Let the national media doubt us again this week. Go Trojans. Beat the Beavs and let’s get it on at Autzen.
Note to Phil Steele… Dude I’m done with you. Used to think highly of you. Now I don’t. How can you be so experienced and yet so blind to the obvious talent difference between Oregon and teams like UCLA or Washington? You are dead to me.
By the grace of Juju, we all are day-to-day.

It makes it so much more fun in the end.

Herbstreit too. He picked Cal, UCLA, and the fuskies all to beat the Ducks.

Look at the bright side, Fuskies...
At least the Morrison Bridge is bathed in a stupid purple light.

Up 13-0 and driving for more.

I’m with you. Let the Beavs get drubbed. We’ll take care of USC.

For the RB, let the beavs win, for the MNC game, Rubbers need to prevail

Congrats...
Nice win for the Ducks and I hope you win out and go to the Rose Bowl.
Maybe you can get a rematch in the BCS with boise for all the marbles.
Not gonna happen
Unless Oregon is the only major 1-loss team left at a very minimum.

John, it’s been a pleasure engaging in some back and forth with you and a few other Dawg fans that doesn’t always rush to the lowest common denominator within two sentences. I enjoy your work and have quietly since living in Seattle a couple years ago. Tough day for you guys, but it’s pretty clear better days are ahead.
By the grace of Juju, we all are day-to-day.
Yup. Sark > Willingham.
But with Willingham’s experience, and Sark’s everything else… UDub would likely be a top Pac-10 contender in 3 years or less.
It's spelled "S-H-U-F-E-L-T-H-I-M-S-E-L-F"
Sark’s got some game management issues to work out. I was also surprised at the fourth down attempt, even more so that Locker through the ball right to Javes Lewis. At times I though UW’s play calling was outstanding.
By the grace of Juju, we all are day-to-day.
I knew he'd go for it
That’s just what his old boss would have done. That was the worst pass I’ve seen anyone throw in a while though.

Last time I cared about BYU, they brought Ty Detmer to Autzen
and we squashed him.
This time, I need them to win for any chance at a sweet mesh crop top jersey prize

I drank beer.
I called the blocked punt before it happened.
I laughed at Washington a lot.
Life is good.

Disapointed in you all
Coming into the season the one place chock full of question marks was our O-line. It’s beyond me how they were left out of the poll above. Sure there has been a high snap or two, but the best unit on the field these past few games has been the hogs up front. Give the big dudes some props.
Proud papa of Nathan John Schierholtz. Choo Choo...the train is a comin' baby, get off them tracks!!
Well...
Not only the high snaps – they also seriously blew some blocking assignments leading to some long snaps. Not to mention some poorly timed holding penalties.
They’ve been much better than expected, but they’ve had better games. They made up for their mistakes just fine, but not enough to warrant props, IMO.
I feel the need, the need...for speed!
We still have to take care of some issues before USC...
1) Cut down on the stupid penalties (Im watching you…Bair!!!)
2) Tackle like we did against Cal!!!!
3) Start a little faster on offense, If we score first against USC, we are in good shape
A much needed bye week; and two whole weeks to focus the inner hatred of UW even moreso than normal.
Locker...Welcome to my profile, You will be formally introduced by Juju at a later date, 10/23 to be more specific!
