Trap Game My Ass

Guess Oregon didn’t get the memo they were supposed to be looking forward to USC so Washington could keep it close. Ooops

Should have tried to get about 10 yards more.

Yeah, 45 seconds

Your kicker has already had one blocked form that range. Try and get 10 more yards or so.

David Paulson

I knew he would come up big in a few key moments and he didn’t let me down. I figured somewhere in the neighborhood of 3 catches for 50+ yards and maybe a TD. I wasn’t far off.

LMJ finally got that long TD run out of the way. A great play. I hope to see a lot more of that.

Masoli…He looked fine to me. Missed on a few passes, and ran the read-option well. Nice momentum going into next week.

The second half D was not what we saw in the previous few games. I hope they go back to the tackling drills and wrap up at USC. It will be a long day if they don’t. I remember at least 3 or 4 plays that went over 20 yards. Yes it was garbage time, but that didn’t stop the D against Cal, WSU and fUCLA.

I still like 4-0 in Pac-10 play!

GO DUCKS!!!!

My criticisms

1. Tackling
2. Tell Barner to get the f-k away from the punt if he is not going to field it.

"Good evening Blazer fans, wherever you may be!"-Bill Schonely

by skywaker9 on Oct 24, 2009 4:05 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Barner should have tried to catch it

He called for the fair catch. If the guy who was coming at him hits him, which was likely, we get the ball and the penalty. Better decision making for sure.

If we eliminate the special teams mess up against Cal, Wazzu, Utah (respect to WTIII…we miss you), and today, we’re giving up even fewer points. Opponents are pretty much only getting what we give them by mistake or penalty.

I do think we cleaned up the tackling mid game. I sure didn’t start well. Also, FANTASTIC job of containing Locker. Our rush maintained lanes, big guys got hands in passing lanes and our linebackers took good angles to keep Locker from getting any more than a couple yards, or in most cases, losses.

Let the national media doubt us again this week. Go Trojans. Beat the Beavs and let’s get it on at Autzen.

Note to Phil Steele… Dude I’m done with you. Used to think highly of you. Now I don’t. How can you be so experienced and yet so blind to the obvious talent difference between Oregon and teams like UCLA or Washington? You are dead to me.

Yup. Sark > Willingham.

But with Willingham’s experience, and Sark’s everything else… UDub would likely be a top Pac-10 contender in 3 years or less.

Sark’s got some game management issues to work out. I was also surprised at the fourth down attempt, even more so that Locker through the ball right to Javes Lewis. At times I though UW’s play calling was outstanding.

Disapointed in you all

Coming into the season the one place chock full of question marks was our O-line. It’s beyond me how they were left out of the poll above. Sure there has been a high snap or two, but the best unit on the field these past few games has been the hogs up front. Give the big dudes some props.

Well...

Not only the high snaps – they also seriously blew some blocking assignments leading to some long snaps. Not to mention some poorly timed holding penalties.

They’ve been much better than expected, but they’ve had better games. They made up for their mistakes just fine, but not enough to warrant props, IMO.

I feel the need, the need...for speed!

We still have to take care of some issues before USC...

1) Cut down on the stupid penalties (Im watching you…Bair!!!)

2) Tackle like we did against Cal!!!!

3) Start a little faster on offense, If we score first against USC, we are in good shape

A much needed bye week; and two whole weeks to focus the inner hatred of UW even moreso than normal.

Locker...Welcome to my profile, You will be formally introduced by Juju at a later date, 10/23 to be more specific!
