Holy s*** did Mike Stoops do something NICE?!?!?!
The eternal doosh punching bag of most of us around here, Mr. Stoops (though I'm betting he got some prodding from his athletic director among others) called Bellotti to ask about the health of the cheerleader injured after the game saturday night. Stoops also called the incident "disturbing" today at a press conference. Thank you (sincerely) for the concern Stoops, but you're still a God*** A**wad of a C***sucking Doosh to me 0:)

A little harsh much? He didn’t have to call to check on the cheerleader’s health and he didn’t have to make the statements he did. If he was going to take the dick route, he could have easily had the Arizona AD handle the entire thing and not gotten involved.
He garnered a lot of my respect for his actions on this matter. I may dislike his actions on the football field, but I’m a fan of the “off the field” Mike Stoops now

I'm not remotely what one could call a fan of Mike Stoops off the field, much less on the field.
But I think it’s silly to insinuate that this was a pity call and that he was egged on by the AD. I’m sure it was genuine. I still don’t like him, he’s a lot like Glenn Beck to me — but he did a kind thing in wishing well on the cheerleader. Don’t get down on him for doing a good thing.

uh, I didn’t. I praised Stoops for his actions. I actually argued against OP’s point about him being a douche

Also, I gained a lot of respect for Stoops for the post game handshake and comments with Chip. The cameras were right there and he said something like, “that’s an outstanding football team you’ve got there”. He just suffered a heart breaking defeat and acted with total class. I hated him as much as the next guy, but he did gain a lot of respect from me. Compare that with how many of the Az fans in that stadium took the loss.
He can run, he can pass, he is sicker than e-coli. Jeremiah always keeps things rolling.

Yeah, his reaction made me grow in respect for him. I will still dislike him intensely due to how he acts on the field, but he leaves it all on the field, and I can respect that.

Yup. Get off the field. Stop acting like everybody owes you everything, and just do your job.
And continue to be nice to cheerleaders with concussions.
At this point, I will start to like you Stoopy.
I am also Terrell Brandon.

Or compare that to how Pete Carroll reacted… Carroll is a good coach and a great recruiter, but he is turning into a spoiled Asshat with his post loss antics. Take your medicine Carroll!

It sounds like something I’d read on oregonlive.
It's spelled "S-H-U-V-3-0-0-0"

Well, my two cents is this no matter how you spell it: If I could get the 20 beers (and not the 'imaginary' ones or,
the ones that Shu left someplace (but he brought the chips [that still sounds like a crock of shit story]),I could maybe probably slightly consider the thought of giving Stoops the benefit of my doubt. I say, stay tuned. Let’s see how the rest of the season unfolds.
