Friends! Quack addicts! Lend me your ears! I've got for you a round up of all the goings-on around the Oregon Athletics corral. First, and most important, a home events list for this weekend in case you're itching for some live Duck sports. The list is rather small this weekend.

Friday 11/6 - W Volleyball vs. Arizona, 7 PM

Saturday 11/7 - W Volleyball vs. ASU, 7 PM

Sunday 11/8 - W Basketball vs. Western Oregon (exhibition), 2 PM; M Basketball vs. Lewis and Clark (Exhibition), 6 PM

Harry Marra, veteran decathlon coach, joins Oregon's track and field staff
Marra, who is replacing former assistant track coach Dan Steele, is a former Team USA decathalon coach, and the thought of him coaching reigning NCAA decathlon champ Ashton Eaton and NCAA heptathlon Brianne Theisen is just scary.

Oregon Team Stunts and Gymnastics: Come Again?
"It's like floor routine in gymnastics but with 20 people on the floor — all synchronized," head coach Felecia Mulkey says. "It has some stunts in it that may look like cheerleading, but without any of the cheerleading stuff." Read the article for more info, looks to me like it'll just be an orgy of tumbling passes performed by girls in tight outfits. So I'm for it.

Men's Golf Places 3rd at SSC Pacific Invitational
Daniel Miernicki's 4-under 67 highlighted Oregon's final round at the Stockton Sports Commission Pacific Invitational, played Wednesday at the par-71, 6,757-yard Brookside Country Club. The Ducks finished with a total score of 834, two shots behind tournament champion UC Davis. Eugene Wong had a 73 in the final round and was Oregon’s high finisher, taking second at 10-under 203. It was the best career finish for the sophomore from North Vancouver, B.C.

TS&G is an NCAA Emerging Sport. Its basis is competitive cheer, and it looks like they’ll compete with these choreographed tumbling and lifting routines.

The girls can dress up as High Elves and then toss the shorter ones around (who are dressed as Dwarves, duh!). Nerds everywhere just got a woody thinking about High Elves in tight spandex shorts…

Everyone knows that it’s very rare for high elves to decided to forgo their eternal life in Valinor in order to take a mortal as a mate. I would feel more depressed than anything.

Now, were they to armor themselves as warrior maidens of the Rohirrim or a princess of the Numenoreans, that indeed would be sexy.
