Here’s another link to him talking about the BCS and Oregon vs. Boise State.

It’s not what I would call in-depth. But he pretty much got it right. LMJ’s emergence as a threat to bust one at any point forces a defense to chase rather than attack. For any defense, that’s a bad formula.

Granted we were playing like crap
But BSU showed teams the best way to stop the spread, stay disciplined and don’t overpersue.

I actually very much disagree with that. Boise State loaded up to stop one play. We made zero adjustments and botched execution on every level. If Boise State threw the same game plan at us right now, we would put up 45+ points easy.

Well, against BSU,
We didn’t have the whole passing thing down, or the whole blocking thing down, or the whole running thing down.
I hope that opposing teams look to the BSU tape to try and stop us. They will be flat embarrassed. Not to mention the fact that against BSU, LMJ only played a few downs. It would be a good idea to try and prepare against LMJ and competent Masoli-none of which played against BSU…
TOBY, Toby Gerhart...THE Toby Gerhart? I formally welcome your presence.
