Theoretical Playoff/Bowl System Concept-With a favorable Oregon playoff result.

I thought this was a pretty interesting. Not just for the result (Oregon beating Alabama in a theoretical national championship game in San Diego),  but the system is interesting.

If you don't want to delve into the article (which you should), it basically proposes a 16 team playoff system (12 conference champions and 4 at-large bids), as well as a bowl system that includes 27 bowls and weeds out some of the less prestigious bowls (papajohns.com, Little Caesar's, etc.).

I actually really like the idea. Even though it does amount to a ridiculous amount of post-season games, it doesn't exclude great teams that don't win the conference and can't get one of the 4 at-large seeds. It's intriguing. I like it.

And the Duck national championship result is just the cherry on top.

Thoughts?
