ROSE BOWL tickets

I hope I win the lottery...

Star-divide

Does anyone know how the "lottery" process works in requesting bowl game tickets through the Duck ticket office?  As a 2 year season ticket holder (of 2 seats) I was understanding in that, I can only request 2 tickets...but the possiblity that I might not actually get them (and would be forced to pay crazy $ from some online scalping service like Stubhub is somewhat frustrating)!  Anyone with insight and/or advice is appreciated! Also curious if anyone is making plans for pre-game festivities that I could join in with?  Thank you!

Rose Bowl Tickets

I have had season ticket since 88. I only get 2 tickets because of time and donations. You with only 2 yrs will be put in a pool to be drawn for.. Good Luck.

i know lots of people that are driving and staying at hotels. lots to choose from near LAX and other areas. Scalpers might be your best bet. prices will drop near game time or shortly after. i’m guessing there will plenty of Ducks down in the sports bars in the surrounding areas. we can wish SC fans luck against BC.

HA!

I was on the site, refreshing every 5 seconds. As soon as the tickets popped up I ordered two. I typed in the stupid security words and….No tickets. I swear they were gone in 30 seconds.

I was calling as well

On the phone simultaneously and never got more than a busy tone. I started calling at 7:45.

Tha'ts the deal with those things

Blame India. They have folks there who tie up the computers and buy all the tickets to such events ASAP.

RazorGator?

http://www.razorgator.com/rosebowl

They are the official resale place for the Rose Bowl (and I suspect the Rose Bowl gave the majority of tickets to them and allowed them to sell them….above cost of course….)

Oooooh, or we can get a group together

and see if we can get a corporate package: http://www.primesport.com/shop/package_rosebowl-corporate.asp

Minimum 10 people, that shouldn’t be tough, right?

An hour ago, prices were about $70 cheaper on RazorGator… this is ridiculous.

Razor Gator is $300, I can't afford that.

I think I’m stuck holding out for one of the five student tickets they might make available

by StuckeyDuck on Dec 8, 2009 9:12 AM PST up reply actions

shit

I should’ve bought them when I saw them at $250 yesterday….

I suspect the ticket prices will decrease as time goes on, but we’ll see….

Just scored 2!

A secret with ticketmaster is to call in way early and stall. Buy cheap tickets to whatever BS event, chit chat with the operator, ask a bunch a stupid questions, whatever to stall until coveted tickets become available.

Congratulations!

Jerk.

Just kidding. I’m just pissed that online tickets were gone in literally 30 seconds. I had three people trying and no one even got a sniff.

Who wants to come over to my place for a barbecue and a watch party on a nice flat screen?

Years ago.

Just out of curiosity

What do you think the ticket breakdown is? I saw somewhere (Moseley’s blog?) that the school got 32,000 tickets to sell to season seat holders and donors. I would assume OSU got the same. There’s 64,000 seats. I’m guessing at least 5,000 are going to corporate sponsors and the like. Probably another several thousand to the two schools for VIPs, families, etc. I know there was a special sale to Pasadena residents, so there’s another 5,000 or so, maybe more. They probably held some back to sell at a later date.

At the end of the day, we’re probably looking at about 10,000 tickets that were available this morning. And they sold in 30 seconds. Unbelievable.

Actually, that’s very believable. Crap.

Actually... only 2,500 released.

I spoke to folks at Rose Bowl yesterday twice and I was told only 2,500 tickets were released at 11 this morning.

We had 6 people here in D.C. all on at the same time, and no luck. We settled for a few groups of tickets, everyone paying about $300.

A little more expensive than previously planned, but seriously: Its the Rose Bowl!

by WashingtonDCduck on Dec 8, 2009 9:41 AM PST reply actions

Wow, 2500? That’s less than I thought. The stadium seats like 95,000!!! How are there only 2,500 available for the general public? Crazy.

They give a lot more to sponsors than you think

The NCAA has to make their $ folks happy.

Yeah you're right

5,000 tickets to sponsors is probably way too light of an estimate. It’s probably closer to 15,000.

To answer the original question, I don't think that you've got a problem

Usually all season ticket holders get at least two tickets. If you’ve put in your application, you had to do so with a credit card. Go to your credit card account and find out if you’ve been charged. If so, you’re in, probably in the end zone but that’s cool. Look for me…Just stand up and holler, Hey donalduck, wtf are u?

"We'll go."

by DONALDUCK on Dec 9, 2009 9:06 PM PST reply actions

Got 'em!!!!

I got two tix at ohiostatebuckeyes.com today when the school released their unsold tickets to the public!!! Oregon (of course) sold out their allotment and won’t have any to release to the public. Oregon even got a bigger allotment but still managed to sell them all.

I think I’ll be sitting in the Buckeye section, but that will just make the victory all more satisfying. I’m so pumped up!!!!

PS. WTF is a $25 “Rose Bowl Fee”?

It’s the Rose Bowl slapping you in the face because they can. And you have to stand there and take it.
