Another day, another blowout hoops loss. But don't fret, Quack Addicts. After a 28-year hiatus, baseball returns today:
- Let's get the bad news out of the way first: The Oregon men's basketball team dropped to 0-14 in Pac-10 play with a 78-60 home loss to Cal at Mac Court Thursday night. The Ducks have only four games left to pick up that coveted conference win. The Register-Guard's Bob Clark has a breakdown of all the infamous milestones Oregon reached with last night's loss. It's pretty impressive, really.
- Now for some good news: At 2:00 p.m. PST today, a new era of Ducks baseball begins as Oregon takes on St. Mary's in the first of a four-game weekend series in Moraga, CA. The Statesman Journal's Gary Horowitz discusses Oregon's revitalized program and the recent success of inner-state rival Oregon State, which Oregon head coach George Horton seems to be quite aware of. Horton will lead the Ducks onto the field for the first time since 1981.
That's all for today. Have a quack-tastic Friday!
GO DUCKS!
