Open Thread: Oregon vs. Fresno State Bulldogs
It's baseball time at PK Park! Or is it? I don't have access to audio or video, and the gametracker on goducks.co misn't working.
Anyway, if the game is going on as planned, comment here!

And…the ducks get through another half inning, the heart of the order. Still 0-0 going into the bottom of the 6th.

Going to bottom of 8th, still scoreless!
Good defensive battle going on. Oregon’s not a great hitting team, but they can pitch and field. This will be a good baseball team to watch, even if they don’t win many games.

Bottom of the 9th, two outs, tied 0-0.

It's spelled "S-H-U-G-S-A-R-E-F-O-R-T-H-U-G-S""
Missed the game
But it sounds like a nice win. Walk off hit!
Great game. Great win.
What a way to kick off the home season. An error-free game with great pitching from a freshman, 2-out 9th inning rally against the defending champs. You really could not have written a better script.
You cannot hide from our weapons of Masoli destruction.
Were you there?
I would’ve gone if it were an evening or night game…

i’ve always prefered “game winning hit” as opposed to “walk off” hit or homer.
So who “walks off”? the losing team. Hell ,I already know that!
I generally only use walk off when it’s a GW home run. no real rationale behind it.
It's spelled "M-A-R-C-H-I-N-G-B-A-N-D."

I think there is a difference...
in my mind, at least. A game winning hit can happen anytime when the game winning run scores (although in hindsight only, obviously). A walk-off hit or home run means that the game is over as a direct result of the hit in the bottom of the 9th or in the bottom of extra innings, regardless of how many outs there are. It’s specific to the home team. Does that make sense?
