After losing to Oregon State 57-54 over the weekend, the Oregon Ducks (6-15, 0-9) completed the first half of their conference play without a win. Despite the lack of winning, head coach Ernie Kent told The Oregonian that "losing wears on anyone, they know they need a win, we know we need a win, but we're really focused on just getting them better game to game.”
The Ducks futility has reached historic levels. UO was winless for the month of January, losing all nine of its games. The last time the Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team didn’t win a game in the month of January was 1922.
Eighty-seven years ago, the George Bohler-led squad was 0-12 with losses to the likes of Multnomah Athletic Club, Whitman, and the Ninth Corps.
But the question becomes outside of scheduling the MAC again, how do the Ducks get better and win a game? Here is a list of three things that would improve the Ducks chances in the second half of their conference season.
