This could be rather interesting. While I don’t think the bowl contracts will be easily fixed, mostly due to simple geography and tv ratings, the new commish must fix the television contracts and get the terrible reffing situation under control. It’s time to move into the 21st century. I’m so glad Tom Hansen is gone.

Here's hoping Larry Scott is listening...
No fat refs! No fat refs! No fat refs.
Agenda items for Pac-10 Refereeing 101 this summer:
1. As surprising as it is when the Huskies tackle a running back, when it does happen the play is over. The Huskies don’t get to grab the ball and run it back upfield, even against the Beavers.
2. Jake Locker has probably never done anything unsportsmanlike on a football field in his life. It’s not unsportsmanlike to be happy.
3. If a defender takes three steps after a pass is thrown and knocks the quarterback out with a helmet to the head, he should get tossed.
4. Intercepting a pass without touching a wide receiver in the end zone does not equate to pass interference.
5. When a field goal kick goes between the uprights, the appropriate response is to raise both arms straight in the air. No looking at each other. No waiving your arms back and forth. None of that creepy, pointy finger crap we see from the refs in Australian Rules Football. Just arms straight up, in the air…like a touchdown.
6. Fullbacks are allowed to go downfield on a pass play that results in a touchdown against USC. Even Cal’s fullback.

9.
Fumbles on the 1 yard line by 5 star receivers that go out the back of the endzone should really result in retained possession for the offense

Well...
Now you’re talking about a rule change, not an error by officials. As much as that play gave me immense heartbreak, I’m fairly certain the refs got it 100 percent right.
This belongs on a different agenda.

Hahaha,
That was the joke ;)
