I go back and forth myself on delightful schadenfredue and feeling bad for them.
But really…it’s Pullman, what do you expect?

Well, there goes that indeed
WSU is the hardest job in the Pac-10 and so I’m not shocked he bolted for UVA. I think he won’t do too well there though (It’s not an easy place to win for anyone and he has no recruiting contacts in the region)….
Proud member of Duck nation!
Holy crap, call the support group.

I'm surprised
but I’m not at all.

Interesting
I think the mildly interesting part of this for me was that there was talk of Craig Robinson being a candidate for the position. Who knew that it would be Tony Bennett instead?

Autzen Stadium is where great teams go to die." - J. Brady McCullough, The Michigan Daily.
Sorry Wazzu
I would have like somewhere in FL but I guess Virginia is far enough away. Man that guy was our nemesis. The perfect style to clean our clocks any time anywhere. To bad for them, but I’m happy.
Ducks Go!
Already miss you MB
I just don’t understand why he wouldn’t give a thought to Indiana or LSU last year, but leaves for Virginia. I feel like LSU and Indiana would be more desirable destinations. Maybe it’s just me.

Well…at least they got more hits yesterday than any other day….That’s something…right?

This is GREAT news for Oregon State
UVA, being only a few hours from DC, and in a powerhouse conference, was a job that scared me to take away Craig Robinson
I support Takimoto in his effort to support Roger Kieschnick in his quest to becoming the best Kieschnick ever to play professional baseball.
Early candidates to replace the crooner:
Ken Bone (Portland St.) – His name is way too amazing. I wouldn’t be okay with this hire.
Randy Bennett (St. Mary’s) – Hey, they wouldn’t have to change the “Coach Bennett” sign on the parking spot.
Bill Grier (San Diego)
Ray Giacoletti (Gonzaga assistant)
BTW, I kind of enjoy that Giacoletti, Grier and Bennett were mentioned in the Clark article as possible candiates for our job that doesn’t exist yet. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like WSU’s athletic department has seen that fundamentally sound, defense-first hoops is the way to succeed in Pullman, and are looking in that same vein. I’d love to see that brand of coach here. Call me old-fashioned. I like defense.

Know what’s hilarious…if any of those coaches were to end up successful at WSU, they’d just leave too! Bennett was their only hope, and he’s gone.
