More Perspective on Spring Scrimmage

Stay connected for news and updates

dvieira has already summarized what we saw at Saturday's scrimmage. A few things stuck out with me:

  • O-line play has a long way to go. Many bad snaps made it difficult for the offense to get a good look and contributed the D-line getting several tackles for a loss.
  • WR Jamere Holland looked good. So did the linebackers. Masoli and Roper mostly played well.
  • Let's hope highly touted incoming freshman punter Jackson Rice is ready to contribute immediately.
  • Dominic mentioned the circumstances that led to Moran Flint taking over placekicking duties last season. A now healthy Justin Dougherty looked solid. His longest kick was actually 46 yards...it would've been good from 50 and he looks like he's got the leg to go 55.
