At the scrimmage a couple weeks back we were watching for signs of greatness from some of Oregon's know football commodities. There were few disappointments. Tomorrow the intensity will be higher, the hitting a little harder and the opportunity for a new face to shine even greater.
On to the poll:
Poll
Where will new optimism emerge from Saturday's Spring Game?
The offensive line. Even with a couple starters held out, the young guys are tired of hearing about the D and their fancy black jerseys. O-line finds success versus the first team front seven. (4 votes)
Chris Harper. Catching, blocking, running, whatever...Harper makes the D look silly a few times. He's on the verge of becoming a superstar. (17 votes)
Defensive line. Three new guys? So what. The replacements are playing hard and fast under new coach Jerry Azzinaro. The big fellas storm the backfield all day long. (10 votes)
DBs who aren't named Thurmond or Ward. Guys like Lewis, Glasper, Jackson and Barner show us that both sides of the field are well defended. (2 votes)
The linebackers. There's been a lot of talk about this group stepping up this spring. Tomorrow they prove it's more than talk. (26 votes)
JConant should be banned from posting future polls because he never includes the obligatory JShufelt response! (7 votes)
