Kamyron Brown to Transfer
Ron Bellamy from the RG is reporting that Kamyron Brown is leaving the program at the end of the school year. This will open up a spot at point guard, a position that was up in the air last season.
I'm not quite sure about this quote from Ernie Kent though...
"I sat down with Kamyron and we both agreed the best situation for him to continue his growth as a player would be in another basketball program"

I don't really know what to make of this.
Kam really never panned out in the past few years, but I was hoping he’d pull somewhat of an Aaron Brooks and step up his Senior year. Sad to see our incumbent PG go, but maybe Armstead’s eyes light up with this. We’ll see.

was he really the incumbant?
as far as i’m concerned, garrett sim pretty much showed he’s the best fit at PG for our offense. kamyron was a player stuck in a bad offense for his skills, as he’s a great passer with limited scoring potential, and ernie’s offense relies on a PG who can create his own shot. too bad he never really came into his own at oregon, best goes to him.

I love Garrett Sim, but definitely wasn't the ball handler that Kam was, at least not last year.
Garrett is a SG at heart that is in the transition to PG, it seems. I feel like Kam was the only prototypical PG we had on scholarship last year, with Sim gradually working towards it.

true, but kamyron still hasn’t developed scoring ability, and at this point i’ve gotta think sim is closer to becoming a scoring PG than kam is.

Oh, yes, a scoring PG, by far.
You are right though that our offense is more accustomed to a PG that can make his own shot opportunity – and moreover, knock any shot on the floor down.

I wouldn't be surprised if he followed Viney
just a thought though
Boo you Mike Stoops! Boo you!
Not supried for a second
He never played well here and never fit in or got good run. Best of luck to him and best of luck to our recruiting a PG asap.
