Media Wednesday - Duckvision Intro 2000

In this week's edition of Media Wednesday, we're taking you back to before the diamond plate, before the black uniforms, before the stormtroopers, all the way back to the year 2000 where Y2K reigned, Florida didn't know how to vote properly, and this video appeared on Duck Vision at Autzen Stadium. Seriously, was Justin Peele awesome or what?!

And no wings!

I'm really tired of it not being football season.

I don't know about an online source, but...

…all the DuckVision intros from 1996-2001 are on the Oregon Football DVD that came out following the Fiesta Bowl season, as a Special Feature. My guess is somebody pulled this clip from that DVD and posted it on YouTube.

How does Kenny Wheaton do it?

He scores every time!

Peele was Money!

I wish that we used Dickson the way we did Peele. It seemed like he was always making a clutch catch for yardage or a score, repeatedly. He (in my opinion) was Joey’s favorite target.

May we hand you your taints on a silver platter...

Peele was back when we were Tight-end U

Now we’ve had some issues with them the past few days (Dickson notwithstanding). Be ncie to get back to that..

Also George Wrighster?

Also Tim Day?

I think the Ducks have continued the TE tradition fairly well since Peele.

It’s sad that over the past few years, so many great tight ends have been wasted. Rosario and Day were completely misused. That was one of the worst sins of the Crowton era. I hope that Kelly uses Dickson and the rest of the TE’s like he should.

Me too

Especially since Dickson was so critical in the Holiday Bowl among other games…

Dickson deserves a lot of credit for DT’s efforts against BSU.

You’ve got that right. And while I think we’ll find some good WR play this year from a considerable yet inexperienced talent pool, I don’t think the 2009 Ducks can afford to let Dickson disappear from the game plan. I like any scenario where Chip K. can get ED isolated on a linebacker.

Ed should finish the season with several Gronkowski games, and, I hope, double digit TDs.

I'm really tired of it not being football season.

Duck Vision

I love Autzen, the crowd, the TEAM, the old coach and the NEW COACH. I went out to watch practices every week this spring. But, Duck Vision on the scoreboard has been really sucky this last several years. I know advertising money is important but let’s get it somewhere else other than our Duck Vision screen during the time that the game is going on. Put advertisements on the seats, on the turf, air balloons, whatever but give us back our Duck Vision screen…the whole thing, the best one in the PAC 10 and perhaps the nation.
