Billy Connelly makes a new statistic; Oregon is awesome!
Super college football statistician, Billy Connelly, details out a new statistic, Points over Expected. Blount ends up being ranked 3rd, and JJ 6th among Running Backs. Masoli ranked 4th among QB rushing stats.
He has a nice paragraph in there where he even mentions the possibility of Oregon having even better success in '09.

What? No Quizz?
I can already hear the calls for a recount.
I'm really tired of it not being football season.
Quizz has never been a great Points Per Play back, because he rarely breaks big plays. He just has a very high success rate.

Correct. And the best backs will have a great S&P. (Success & Points)
it breaks down a lot like this:
Javhid Best is like Albert Pujols. High OPS
Jacquizz Rodgers is like Nick Johnson. High OBP, Average Slugging.
LeGarrette Blount is like Russell Branyan. High Slugging, Average OBP.
"It’s spelled S-H-U-F-E-L-T-M-E-U-P"
And JShufelt is like Prince Fielder.
I’m leaving it at this.
