Everything that idiot just said is exactly what’s wrong with college football. He’s actually right. Remember 2005?

I saw that one coming from a mile away.
Is Clausen going to win the Heisman this year too, coach?

sad thing is
Notre Dame could easily be a one loss team because they don’t play anybody. They’ll lose to SC. Their next three toughest are Michigan State and BC in South Bend, and at Pitt. While I don’t see them getting through that without losing at least one, you never know. Besides those, the rest of their schedule is UW, WSU, Navy, Nevada, UConn, Michigan, Purdue, and Stanford. Its absolutely craptacular.

Lou appears to be dying his hair gold.
Even if, God forbid, Notre Dame should go 11-1, their strength of schedule will be so low the computers might not place them higher than a 2-loss team with a much stronger schedule. Ask Utah how that works.

But they'd get #1poll ranking
They won’t go 11-1 but I see your point.

I believe it’s because no fan base – and it’s a huge fan base – has a stronger sense of God-given entitlement to college football greatness. Makes everyone else nauseous.

Not to mention
how many ESPN employees are ND Alumni/honks
I don’t think it’s fun to hate them…I just hate them

Because they're annoying
I hate people who seem to think that because they WERE good, they are entitled to always win, and in ND it is doubly so because they always get an undeserved benefit of the doubt.

How realistic is it for Oregon to become an independent
If we could make that schedule for ourselves we could go to the NC every year. We are looking at this the wrong way, we need to follow the path laid down by ND. The Pac 10 is just holding us back with their good teams and fair round robin. There is no reason for us to have to play Cal and SC and OSU all the time, give me army and purdue and Wazzu and Mich. Remember all you have to do is be the best team in the stadium for 12 weeks in a row, and it would be great to have 7 games in Autzen and play a game in San Antonio. Mike B, please get us out of the Pac 10 so we can begin dominating all of college football. /satire

We need to ensure we get a BCS assurance clause with being 8th place or better. That way we can unfairly collect the entire payout of the BCS bowls too instead of “sharing it” with a bunch of other teams.
