You bronco fans kill me, you cheap shot our QB, throw some TD’s against our banged up secondary, and give a WR at QB fits with your defense and suddenly you own us?

Ask OSU what happens just as you think you have the upper hand…

No Ian Johnson+graduated WR’s+two key losses on your D-line=Duck Domination. Your ability to beat us this year was always predicated on BSU being able to neutralize Oregon’s O-Line. You will not get it done.

No Ian?

We dont need Ian Johnsons or Jeremy Childs’ to move the ball. Our running game will be better this year, and our passing game? Well, I’ll let Moore show you whats up.
And stop Whining about last years game! Shit happens ITS FOOTBALL people get hurt! Teams take losses, and weak fans dwell on those mishaps. Besides whatever happend last year, happened. Bringing it up only remindes everyone who lost and who won. Thats the bottom line. Who knows, Maybe if Masoli was more aware, He wouldn’t of been knocked out of the game. Maybe we should tell our linebackers to take it easy on you’r team this time. Would that please you enough? If your pissed about the injuries or so-called “cheap shots” go watch some damn golf, or ping pong.

And about our Defense, Were even stonger and faster than last year. Next time you want to give some reviews about another team, make sure you know what your talking about.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the ducks. They are a great team! The Holiday Bowl was very impressive. So im not predicting this game to be one sided at all! Both teams have great offenses. It’s gonna be a defensive battle for sure. And I have a lot of faith in our D this year. So don’t be thinkin’ your gonna come and take an easy win here in Boise. Its one of the hardest places for an away team to win. And as far as the Myth of Ducks crashing on the Blue? Well I guess we will find out Sep. 3rd if it’s true.

"so called"

meaning thats how the ducks see it.
cheap shots are unfortunate. I hate them myself, but still they happen, they ARE unfortunately part of the game.
about our record- We do the best we possibly can i our conference. considering what we’ve done in the time we have had in 1-A ball. You don’t hear about teams dominating the sun belt, mid am, or conf. usa do you? well those are the kind of teams we have to put up with.

This is what is most impressive with BSU’s football team. You’ve done a lot in a short amount of time and I respect that about your program. But, that doesn’t entitle you to anything. I used to really respect South Florida for the same reason, but then we played them in the Sun Bowl and their fans proved to be the most arrogant, uneducated and generally cocky fools I’ve ever had the displeasure of discussing football with. Now I hate that program with a passion and I am starting to get there with BSU as well (unfortunately). I want to like the Broncos, I really do, but the general sense of superiority and entitlement that most of the fan base displays is a real killer. It makes that Fiesta Bowl upset less satisfying, even if it was against Oklahoma.

I'm the one in the middle

And i will be the first to admit Powers’ hit on Masoli was a cheap shot, and so was Jeron Johnson’s hit on Ed Dickson. I’m sorry we have a physical team guys! That’s no excuse but put yourself in their shoes, they have 59,000 screaming fans, adrenaline coursing through their veins, it takes a lot of restraint when your running full speed from the free safety position to hit the QB. Again, this is no excuse and both of the players have maintained that they are just trying to play physical, they are never trying to hurt anyone just play hard-nosed football that they’re supposed to play. Unfortunately, Masoli was injured. Don’t act like the ducks have never been guilty of anything dirty….Again i can see your frustration, had it been Moore who got knocked out and we lost by 5 i would probably complain about that as well.
So I can definitely see where you guys are coming from. However, it is a little bit much to say Masoli getting knocked out was the sole reason for your loss. Does he play Defensive Back? If Masoli would have stayed in you guys would have continued to run the ball (you guys started doing well when you burned the redshirt of Darren Thomas, which i feel was a mistake on Belotti’s part. That Thomas kid looked great) and started throwing the ball. Seriously if Oregon tries to come into Bronco Stadium and run the ball its not going to work out too well. Blount had 1 good run when he hurdled that dude, other than that all you had going for you was the pass. If the game would have been 5 minutes longer you probably would have won, but their wasn’t. That’s football. I look forward to seeing all you ducks who make the trip down to Boise.
I enjoyed Eugene quite a bit.

According to this interview, Powers admits he blew an assignment and decided to “put a little helmet on him (Masoli)”.

I think this is all a matter of ships passing in the night… There are stupid fans on both sides of the debate. The hit was late, it helped BSU. To us, it seems like there are a lot of BSU fans that don’t want to admit that. But there are also duck fans that don’t want to admit that BSU played much better overall last year.

There’s no use defending either the late hits, or the crappy defense on Oregon’s part. Thanks for not falling in with the rest of your brethren.

I agree with a lot of what you say. I think when a defensive player sees a QB, he starts to think he gets to bring some pain to the protected princess. I know I would probably do the same thing. But the adrenalin of the moment is a very, very poor excuse.

I fully admit that BSU beat us. If Masoli stayed in, who knows HOW the game would have unfolded. It’s like trying to debate if a fumble was really a fumble during the first quarter. Score, personnel, field position – they all factor into the strategy of the game. What brought us out of the game was trying to stick with Harper in at QB for so long; in addition to reacting so poorly to the play action pass.

227 Yards; 4.37 Avg; 2 TD. I mean – they did slow down the run, but that’s still definite success in rushing.

super-dee-duper rec’d for truth. If our passing game is competent, the running game should become almost unstoppable. Ask OSU (either one) how it works.
