Clemens not making it so easy for Sanchez
I decided to check up on the QB competition in New York.
Clemens looks to be getting most first team snaps. Can the Cowboy get it done?

Interesting to compare the quotes
Clemens is ‘trusting the coaches’, and Sanchez is openly talking about his promotion as a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if.’ Sure, it’s all but inevitable, but that’s pretty freakin’ cocky for an early entry rookie to talk like that to the press.
I smell a Sanchez failburger cooking up. You don’t taunt karma like that and come out unscathed.
one also might say
that’s dirty, sanchez
but that would be too easy

Sanchez has bust written all over him
He never played well in any game that was particularly close at the end, which to be fair he didn’t have to because USC was blowing most folks out.

I think him going early was more of him seeing $$$$ and not a successful career.
QBs get drafted high, and it was a very small pool of QBs this year.

I'm no fan of Caroll
But he was right, Sanchez should have stayed in school.

I dunno, we will see.
Either way I think Kellen has the physical talent advantage, probably the smarts by far, and obviously the seniority and experience. Let’s see if he can make an Oregon QB who was successful in the NFL. Please.

Umm…what? Sanchez is more physically talented than Kellen. And as far as smarts, where in the world does that come from? Sanchez was a very good QB in college, that had significantly better stats than Kellen. And he wasn’t in an offense designed to have him throw it all over the field.
I like Kellen, but let’s get some perspective, and not be a bunch of homers. Kellen had his chances, and the Jets took a QB in the top 10 this year. That tells you something.

I've always felt Sanchez' decision making has been one of his weaker aspects.
Sanchez has a great arm, fair mobility, good footwork, but I’d observed as recently as this past season that his decision making was sometimes suspect.
Kellen also is like 6’5", 240 with improvisation mobility.
I will agree with you, though, in that them taking a QB early on in the draft this year does tell us what we think it’s telling us. Though Kellen seems to have had less chances than most QBs would have in their first couple years. There’s not much baggage on the guy yet, he’s still young, and I think he has the right attitude about it all.

I need to look things up before I trust my NCAA '05 game.

I love that instead of going to the intertubes to check facts you fired up your xbox.

But I have done that in the past no less.
