thatoneguy REALLY DOES deserve a lot of credit.
... for allowing other blogs show the quality of their content and running their respected communities. And that you can do it openly and without narcissism. It gives a great baseline to judge other blogs by.
jtlight has done a great job at keeping the AtQ engine running strong. His game analysts are some of the best in the country, and he keeps his pulse close to just about every team out there. With 120 teams to keep track of, that's impressive.
Recently promoted manager Dominic has been impeccable with keeping us surviving the off season. It's good that he often takes the devils-advocate side against Jared. It helps balance the discussions and keep perspective.
ntrebon, "Nico", is generally one of the first and few that will chime in to keep us informed of the finer details of college football. He'll keep folks in line when they become openly rude, but usually would rather folks see the finer parts of life to enjoy - like Mitch Hedberg.
PaulSF - Always an insightful editor. Of all the jersey contest bloggers, I enjoy reading his perspective the most. Grade A writing, research and commentary. He could excel in a lot of areas, but instead, he decides to give us our quack.
JConant reminds me of the guy that everyone wants to be around. Always up for a good laugh. He likes to chill around. But he shines when he lays down the quack.
And our founder, Dave, isn't freakin' great to see him back? When I originally came across AtQ - I stuck around because of his opinion pieces. He can examine, formulate, express, and persuade an opinion unlike anyone else I've read. His game-by-game break down was of the best I ever came across. I stopped reading the Oregonian garbage, because I knew Dave would deliver something better.
And then there is the atmosphere they allow to run though. People from other blogs, teams, and fanbases frequently come here and state their opinions. If they are stupid, they let people call them out. If they are smart, they get credit for it. Even if it is against their own opinions, they'll let people express it.
To CGB, I'm happy for you, I'm gonna let you finish - but Addicted to Quack is one of the best blogs of ALL TIME.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of SB Nation or the Addicted To Quack Moderators. FanPost opinions are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable Oregon fans.

What I love about Dave is how totally fired up he can get. One of my favorite Dave quotes is…and I’m paraphrasing here, “That’s like asking someone if they’d rather have their balls slammed in a door, or have a grenade shoved up their ass!”

Actually we just sort of borrowed it.

It could be worse. I could be Natty Ice.
Or it could be sweet, delicious bum-wine. Don’t get me started on bum-wine…

For the record, “I” couldn’t be Natty Ice no matter how hard I tried.
I meant to write “It”… obviously.

I appreciate that AtQ is able to be insightful and informative, but can also get silly at times. I can’t stand blogs that are run by robots who fear humor and sometimes non-sequitor conversation, but I love the analysis and good writing that all the mods bring. So thanks guys, and Go Ducks!

True that!

I echo that sentiment.
What kept me coming back to read, and signing up to comment was the analysis, the fun the commentors have, and the generally postive mood of the blog. So many blogs/message boards are filled with posters with an incredibly pessimistic view of the team they supposedly support. I appreciate the tone in this corner of the internet so much more.

I agree 100%
This is my only way of getting accurate coverage whenever I need a quack fix. The only time I hear about Oregon is during Carolina Panther games. I have been coming here for years but I just joined several months ago. I can truly say that I am addicted to quack. Thanks for all the hard work!!!

Thanks for the compliments
Its nice to be back. When I started this place three years ago (holy cow, its been that long!), I wanted a place to talk Ducks that wasn’t the intolerable boorishness of the OregonLive forums. Its not me or Jared or Dom or any of the authors that make this place great. Its all of you with you intelligent, witty, and positive vibe that you have contributed. Its everything that BN is not, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

Something must have happened over at BN the last few days being that this and a similar post have been put up at CGB. What’s the scoop?

Nothing against BN
As I read it all the time and think that it’s pretty good. But I think that they should stop using nicknames for most of their players. If you are not a fan of the Bruins then their stuff is tough to read because you don’t know what they’re talking about.
