ESPN reporting USC RB Stafon Johnson dropped a weightlifting bar on his throat and was rushed to the hospital. He was coughing up blood and may need surgery. Scary situation for the Trojans.

From a life standpoint best wishes to him

from a football standpoint this could become a rallying cry for a trojan team desperate for one. Now they have a fallen teammate to fight for, we could se a different SC team from now on. But really that is terrible and I hope he can play again.

I can’t even imagine the feeling. Football aside, I would think this type of injury is one that you just hope you can function normally after recovery. I like to think that breathing is more important than football.

Major bummer for that kid. Hopes and prayers for a full and speedy recovery. I’m not a USC fan but it is a game and nothing else. Players should be most valued in the brotherhood of man. We’re pulling for you Stafon.
