That is an incredibly interesting interpretation of what happened..
…. because what I saw was:
1. Boise St player reminded Blount of his Ass-whooping comment with a pat on the shoulder pad
2. LB cold-cocked a guy who wasn’t looking right in front of the BS head coach
3. LB was restrained by his own players/coaches
4. LB took a swing at his own guys … enter security
5. As security / police escort him off, LB takes issue with other Oregon Fans and tries to go after one of them in the stands
6. As he is restrained, he elbows a cop in the face.
The man was going bezerk. He doesn’t deserve to wear the Oregon uniform.

The BSU guy sought him out, tapped on his shoulder and taunted him. And I don’t see how one can equate a quote in a newspaper with looking up a guy right after a tough loss and rubbing salt in his wounds. Bush league by the Bronco-which does not excuse Blount’s punch, he has to show maturity there and get off the field. After the tussle with UO players trying to get him off the field, some BSU fans got in his face on his way to the tunnel. And that’s when he went from suspended to dismissed. He woulda gone full Artest if Frost and the security guys didn’t wrestle him to the locker room.

Okay, I’ll admit I’m a husky fan, which means yes, I can’t root for Oregon normally, though I was in this game since I mean come on, we’re all better when teams in the PAC-10 do well. Personally, I think that We should root for every pac-10 team to win ever non-conference game ever… but wow, I can say for all the hate between UW and UO, I never could have pictured something like Blount’s actions happening. Blount
From a Husky perspective:
I just saw the youtube version of the Blount punch. Last night I was all for Blount being kicked off the team – not today.
I did NOT see the BSU player come up and smack Blount’s shoulder before taunting him – in my book when someone hits they are open game to getting hit back. Blount was walking off the field, minding his own business when the BSU player ran up to him, hit his shoulder and started taunting.
There is no way of knowing whether Blount perceived the hit as a threat or not, but he was definantly hit first. I do not excuse Blount’s behavior but, I after seeing what started the fight – I would not kick Blount off the team.
That does nothing to explain what happened to your offense last night but the Pac-10 needs you guys to bounce back. Good luck with the rest of the season.
