Well, time to run down my thoughts about our future...

However, first off the ol' bat, is there any word on T.J Ward, along with Rice he was the bright spot last night...It would truly be awful if he were to miss an extended period of time...

Every year, a much-hyped team such as ourselves, loses a major game week one in a bad way...It is in my view that it is how a team responds immediately that dictates their future.

Although Clemson finished strong, they were a total loss for the first six weeks losing most of their recruits and finally their coach (i say with confidence that Chip Kelly will not be fired by week six), we need to hope that it will not take that long to rebound (is tj ward better yet?). And I don't think it will...

I believe that with a Purdue team that lost more talent last year than we did last game, we have an opportunity to post a win and thus begin the march to the confidence plateau we once resided on a regular basis. If we can win this one, we have a good chance once again to beat a Utah team that lost quite a lot of their key contributors to last years entertaining sugar bowl team; furthermore, their run defense looked very porous against Utah State.

I think that by this point, LaMichael will have acclimated to his increased role on offense, as well as our offense acclimating to actually playing competitive offensive ball! Hopefully we will actually record a first down on our first drive, and begin to produce.

If anything, our loss in Boise may have provided what we indeed needed to improve. Now there is virtually no chance that Masoli will be in the Heisman race (even if he claims that he was completely ignoring his newly found hype; it seems tough to believe that he wasn't thinking of that even minutely ). Our team now has no chance of playing in the National Championship, hopefully we can focus on the Pac-10, and make it to the (Rose  Bowl is probably too lofty at this point) very respectable Sun or Holiday Bowl. And we always have pathetic Washington to trounce on this year, not to mention an Oregon State team we can clearly beat if we focus....

We still have virtually everything to play for, and the only thing in the minds of many, RESPECT. We can still fight back and gain respect, for the conference, and our team!

There will be no bandwagoning or jumping ship allowed! And I know that nobody on this blog will be doing so!

Learn from last week and prepare for the future...Go Ducks!
