I’m not entirely sure, but is using “LMJ” using his likeness? If so… these aren’t exactly… fine-free t-shirts.

That’s not the problem though.
It is essentially the same reason why they aren’t allowed to put names on the back of jerseys, or a current collegiate athlete on the cover of a video game
3rd parties are not allowed to make profit off of a collegiate athlete’s likeness. “LMJ” could be considered a “Likeness” for LaMichael James. If someone is more familiar with the rules, I’ll gladly stand corrected.
